I have no idea on cost, but I can tell you that I love the look. If it’s in the budget, go for it.
I think the main draw to Broadmoor is the lot size and home size, not anything “social”. If my wife and I want to be social, we drive 4 miles down Goodwood to Government Street. I can get to White Star from my house in 10-12 minutes. Being able to walk there isn’t worth doubling my house note to me.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure I’d love living in Mid-City. I also love living in Broadmoor way more than I expected when I bought my house.
I’ve lived in Broadmoor since 2014 and love it. I’m on Goodwood, near Sharp. I’m on the main boulevard with no gate and I’ve left stuff under my carport in the back for a week and it’s never been touched. My wife has never felt unsafe in or around our house.

Another plus is the amount of house and land you get for the price. You move some of these 2,500 sqft houses across airline highway, and they’d be $350k-$400k.

We’re close to Mid-City and government street, close to the interstate, and can hit Airline straight down to the airport if we fly out of BR. And the other posters are right, there are a lot of young families moving in. There are definitely some rent houses too, but overall I feel like the neighborhood is maintaining its value.

I strongly suggest looking in Broadmoor if you like a reasonable note for a large house with some character.
This reads like the eater intros for the Nathan’s hot dog eating contest.

I don’t very get out there much, but this is something Ive always wondered about. People who have been in the same spot for years, they just get there first every week? What if someone goes ridiculously early and takes “their spot”? Knuckle checkin time? What’s the etiquette?
It’s not even noon yet. Nap, hydrate, eat, and man up. Jerk off about 10 minutes before you leave so you last more than 30 seconds.
Right now I just keep an excel sheet, but I’m getting to the point I have too many people to juggle and I’m looking for an app to help out. Any suggestions are appreciated. What I’m looking to track:
Client name and contact info
Date of last contact with client
Last time they placed an order
Schedule a follow up reminder

That’s really it. I figure there’s gotta be an app out there for this.

Yeah i saw all that, so I’ve been checking every hour. I have friends who got emails about theirs being cancelled. I still haven’t. If I don’t get an answer from Ticketmaster i guess I’m just buying another to be safe. Someone will take it if I end up with both.

I used the SEASON code yesterday and got a single upper for game 1. I am not a season ticket holder. My ticket still shows up fine and I printed it 30 minutes ago. Do y’all think they just missed me? Now I’m nervous as shite I’ll drive 30 Min to the game, Park, Walk, and not be able to get in. I emailed Ticketmaster to ask if it was valid which might’ve been a bad move. Now I’m worried they’ll void that bitch lol.

I mentioned earlier in the thread I admittedly know nothing about finance and I’m going to learn more. Until 2017, my tax return consisted of bringing my W2 to H&R Block. Last year I had just bought the house so I let a friend do it whom I trust. I wouldn’t even know where to start to “work out the numbers” myself. I plan on sitting with her this year to really grasp what’s what. I was just asking the original question hoping it was an easy answer.
Maybe i did. I’m not sure honestly. I dropped off my taxes last year to a CPA friend and she called me and told me what my refund was.
Thanks. I’m going to do more research on that myself as well. Sorry for my ignorance. I bought my house at 28 with no other debt, all my tax returns before this one have been incredibly simple. my goal for 2018 is to learn more about money management. It’s just never been something I’ve had to pay attention too haha.
I Do. I just wanted to get an idea since I don’t have all my paperwork in yet to get them done.
I don’t itemize anything else. I paid $5,100.00 in 2017

First time home owner - tax return

I bought my house in September 2016 so 2017 was my first full year of payments. Is there a certain percentage of the interest I should get back when I file my taxes? Are there any outside factors that help determine this, or is it based solely on the amount of the payments? I’m single, in the 25% tax bracket according to google. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Agreed. The service and food quality is terrible.

I would need to drop Jonathan Stewart for Mack. I can’t decide.
I’d say all “sex with coworker” stories are technically success stories, because, well, sex.
That being said. It’s happened to me twice. The first girl told a few coworkers about it and of course it spread like wildfire. She quit about a month later. Part time retail job in college.
The other was a little more long term hookup deal. The only awkward thing was when her boyfriend and parents showed up to take her to lunch one day and introduced themselves to me. I didn’t know she had a bf. It ended shortly after that.
