Do you get (verified by Speedtest) the speeds you pay for? I pay for the 75 Mb download speed and only get in the 30-45 range. That sucks a tallywacker.

I had Eatel in the past and had the 50 Mb download and 25 Mb upload and always got those speeds.

AT&T tech says that's what I should be getting when conneted wirelessly, but I got much much faster with Eatel AND got the speeds I paid for.

I hate cox cable as much as the next guy but I have almost never seen anyone on here say they enjoyed their internet uverse experience.

I've seen numerous people on here switch back.

I love it.

I have the Speedtest app on my phone. I just ran a test: pay for 24mbps and got 27 on download and 4.5 on upload.

ETA: obviously that's over wifi, not hard wired.

I have the 45Mb and don't seem to get that much over wifi (where it is located, I can't hard wire anything). I think it is their shitty all-in-one gateway that they make you rent. If there was another provider in my hood, I would switch.

Uverse internet is garbage unless there's a fiber node close by.

I pay for 45 Mbps and I am often over it around 5 Mbps. When I first got it, it was way too slow for what I was paying for. The bottle neck was the wireless router, which was old. After that, my speed is always a little over what I pay for and can't remember losing connection even with hurricanes/flooding etc.

ETA:

This is on a 5 year old laptop 3 rooms from my router. I pay for 45 down and 5 up.

No you dont- I only get about 450mbps of the 1000mbps I pay for. The installer said that was the highest he has seen of the 5 houses on my street that he installed too. I dont need for than 100mbps for what I do so I don't really mind

I paid for 80 and consistently got 15-20.

ATT techs said nothing was wrong. Kept changing the box.

I called ATT and told them to drop me down to 20 since that's all I was getting anyway. Very little difference.

I only pay for 24 and i often get 24 or even around 27. But sometimes i get 10-15. It's hit or miss really.

It just about never goes out though. For me at least. One positive i can say.

I have the 45mb and get just over 50 on the speedtest on 3 separate sites. However, if I run the Google speedtest app, it reports a speed of 27mb.

I'm not saying Google is wrong intentionally -- but I think they are wrong intentionally.

I have charter and pay $44/month for 60 Mbps. I can pull 63Mpbs on Wifi.

When they put At&t fiber 1 Gbps in my neighborhood I was ecstatic. It was $45 more per month but I signed up without a second thought.

I averaged 100-180 Mpbs on wifi fastest I ever got was 500 Mpbs with an Ethernet. I canceled that shite within the 14 days. I just couldn't justify spending $90 over $44 for that type of performance. It was no where even close to advertised speeds. And I used my own badass router not the shitty At&t gateway.
