So, who's really the pompous know-it-alls perverting science and shooting philosophical blanks? "Creationists" or atheists?

Many people believe in a creator and evolution.

I like to play it safe. So I choose not to believe in either.

Almost no one who would explore the Internet to some extent (and thus finding TD) would believe that stuff.

Sorry my friend, but you're gonna have to go back in the thread and read. I don't have the energy to rehash or summarize at this point.

It's unfortunate but I don't think we'll be taken seriously as a religion if we allow non believers to mock the kiwi. We'll probably have to cut off a few heads just to make a point then we'll chill out. Thoughts?

What are you talking about? What science? You are so incoherent that I know that I am just wasting my time. You never made any scientific point. The crux of these discussion goes so far over your head that it is like talking to a toddler.

That really stung, huh? I made a very important and compelling point here. Go back and read. I should have quoted the post I'm referring to so it'd be more clear. But I didn't... sorry.

quote:

You are so ignorant. It's like people like Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustine, Socrates, Plato, never existed. They never struggled over these ideas in their attempts to conceptualize the world and construct proofs for God. What were they even wasting their time with writing on these ideas if they were just accepted facts?

I didn't say it was "blindly" accepted. I understand that people thought about it and conversed over it. My point is that 99% of the population looked at the evidence in front of them and drew the logical conclusion that there has to be a creator and the universe didn't just come from nothing. You are ignorant in taking snippets of my post out of context and twisting them to change the argument. And before you go off and start talking about the "scientific achievements" we've made during the last 100 years, let me say that the more we discover, the more wonders we find that cant be explained by un-supernatural means. So, for truly objective people who are willing to not try to force the square peg of science into the round hole of atheism, and who look at ALL of the scientific evidences uncovered in our progress, it is more apparent today than ever the evidence of intelligent design in creation.

Then, as icing on the cake you say I'm being "anti-intellectual"....

Kind of seems to me like I'm the one talking to a petulant toddler.

All of this is fine and dandy but the thread is about young earth creationism. I was hoping to get someone who believes in this to justify it. No one responded...the OT is smarter than I thought

Spontaneous generation cannot exist w/o a creator.

This fact does not fit belief in creation without a creator.

So, either nothing exists or someone had to create everything supernaturally. This concept even applies to the "Big Bangers" (i.e. where'd the space dust come from)

Well, to be fair, I didn't change the conversation. I just jumped on the thread train. These type threads tend to evolve as they go. There's plenty of info out there for a young Earth. Google is great for finding them.

Agreed. The female form should be shown and appreciated as our dimwitted creator intended. Women should be free to live as they choose, as free as the magnificently stupid kiwi roaming those sacred forests of New Zealand.

Holy shite, we could pilgrimage to NZ!!! Dude, this is starting to come together....

Evidently so, because it sounds like you are ascribing that you believe spontaneous generation can occur...
