Dude, we're way past that now. We're creating a new church, and I think we might be on to something....

I can't speak for the OP but for me the idea of reality being nothing more than some sort of simulation is a neat thought but nothing more. If something gives me reason to think otherwise that's one thing, but for the time being it's meaningless and fun scifi thinking. If Musk did say that I'm sure it's in jest, or at least the probability is the opposite of what you said (one in a billion)

How do you say "I am the lord, you're god" in Latin?

also it has to have the Kiwi on it

No so sure our God will speak Latin, he's probably not great with English either.

But damn straight on the kiwi.

I'm thinking he can be waving like Forest Gump on the boat when he first sees Lt Dan. Just a real nice, cool, dumb God. Meh?

Scripture is a record of God's works with the human race, period. To deny the age of the Earth by trying to shoehorn into Scripture is just flat out intellectually, much less spiritually, dishonest

People like you are to lazy to look things up and deny what is obvious. Google human population growth. Then explain to anyone with half a brain, how people could have been on this earth for over a million years. Numerically impossible. But it is to obvious to believe so continue to make fun of the people who are smarter than yourself and the other brainwashed sheep out there.

There is literally ZERO falsifiable, peer-reviewable data to suggest a Young Earth.

None. Zero. Zilch. There is no Science involved in that whatsoever. It stems entirely on a weird interpretation for people that want to believe the pages in a document "Written" by nomadic barely literate men that has been translated from multiple languages, some of them with thousands and thousands of fewer words than modern english.

Google is our friend. Here are many reasons, scientifically verifiable, of a young earth.

Fairly long read, but well worth the time if you are genuinely interested and not just trolling and parroting what your high school teacher or professor told you.

you do know its BS, right? it takes millions of years just for the planet to form

I don't believe the earth is a few thousand years old, but I do enjoy playing Devils advocate so if I was going to argue that point I would simply point out that the Bible literally states that God created the Earth and everything else with the appearance of age.

There's really not much of an argument after that. No matter what you say about the fossil record and carbon dating it all falls under the whole "appearance" of age umbrella

Honestly I can make better, more logical, and even more scientifically sound arguments for religion and God than most people who actually spend time arguing this stuff. I would consider myself Christian, but Im very open minded and always question everything and absolutely don't take everything in the bible as fact. The difference between me and the hardcore evangelicals that you think all Christians are and are targeting with the OP is that I actually question what im told and take the time to think about things and look for answers to make it all make sense to me instead of just taking everything on pure faith and assuming it's fact and nothing more.

The explosion of population growth is due to the discovery of agriculture and humans going from being hunter/gathers to an agrarian lifestyle. Homo-sapiens have been around far longer, and the evolutionary tree obviously back further and further.

So how was or who created the matter that supposedly caused your Big Bang?

We don't really know. I think that's ok if you look at it logically. To pretend that a particular religion has the answer is completely absurd. Unsubstantiated truth claims hold no water. Neither do primitive legends created by an ancient superstitious society.

This. It's ok not to know something. We can calculate the universe as best we can back up to a tiny fraction of a second after the Big Bang. Plenty of holes obviously, dark matter and dark energy etc.
