Like someone else said, I use to like them in 1999, 2000, 2001ish when they played stupid songs and didn't take themselves as serious.. but when they moved to Houston I couldn't take them anymore.

I agree Walton lost his shite when Obama got elected. He was so single minded it left no room for anything else. BUT...
What other show would you listen to that wouldn't suck way more than W&J? I agree with everyone's criticism. But there isn't a single show on terrestrial radio that isn't worse than theirs. Play more music? Like what? Country? Pop? Rap? I'll stick to my iTunes, thanks.
I hate to see them go. They're old, worn out, and play to the "lowest common denominator", but they're still better than anything else on the radio in this mkt.

They blast all presidents. I started listening to them during george w more regularily, but to have a 4 1/2 hr morning show you have go expect them to talk about the same things quite often.

Whoever was on 98.1 right before w&j was good. I think it was local. W&j were good till it turned to nonstop obama and mexicans.

This. Their show started going downhill about 10 years ago and completely fell off a cliff after Obama was inaugurated. They simply couldn't help themselves but talk about Obama incessantly. They stopped being funny and just got depressing.

Was jay hooks on the air directly before w&j? I remember being so the first morning w&j came on in place of that show.

If Eagle puts Condon on in that slot they deserve to go right down the shitter. The only show more annoying and insulting than W&J is that fricking turd. Why they ever brought him on is a mystery. He's not even remotely funny. Just a raging douche asshat.
