There's a big difference between the folks who came over from Iran, etc. in the 70s & 80s and the displaced Syrian and Afghan refugees.

The initial wave was made up of college educated professionals. The current wave is not.

While in many parts of the Muslim world, women are confined to second-class status, that's not the case among American Muslims. Virtually all of them, 90%, agree that women should be able to work outside the home. American Muslim women hold more college or postgraduate degrees than Muslim men. And they are more likely to work in professional fields than women from most other U.S. religious groups.

How many of these Muslims are American born vs. immigrants? You're data only shows "muslims" and does not differentiate between American born vs. recently immigrated Muslims, unless i missed that somewhere. If that's the case, then your entire thread title has nothing to do with your "stats".

Education is not a good metric.

Osama bin Laden was extremely well-educated, was he not?

As said before, stopped at CNN article. They are quite possible the most liberal media outlet there is and would do anything to push the notion that Muslims are peaceful and tolerant members of society. Anything to push the socialist/communist agenda so beloved by the left.

The other day I was getting on to the bus wearing my favorite jimmy dean pork breakfast sausage hat when three Muslim supporters with machetes pulled my hat off and threw it to the ground yelling "this is sharia America now and haram clothing is not allowed!" They then tried to force me to wear a burka and renounce my Christianity. I'm literally shaking right now, this is Mohammed's America.

Those stats are heavily weighted to those muslims who have been here a longer time - the ones who emigrated from the shothole ofnthe ME because they were "progressive" and ok with women being educated and working.

By and large the ones coming now are not. That's the problem with broadly applying statistics.

Many terrorists, particularly leaders, organizers, hijackers and planners are highly educated from wealthy or middle class families, with advanced degrees, with a significant portion educated in the West.

The whole, "The Madrassas prey on the poor and uneducated families" bullshite is a myth.

A little dated, but that right wing, fake news rag The New York fricking Times even knows this.

Has this really been the argument though?

From what I've seen, people are more concerned about the uncivilized refugees not assimilating.

After seeing what happened (and is happening) in Europe combined with the fact that the FBI director straight up told everyone we didn't have a proper vetting process, those concerns are warranted.

the argument isn't as much that they don't integrate at all. they just would be on the level of "white christian male" to the progs if the progs looked at things objectively. the issue is why progs don't treat them the same

for example: attitudes on gay marriage:

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American ... There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag ... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language ... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

This is a quote from Theodore Roosevelt in 1907

In this country especially in these strange and difficult times we have room for one flag and one country. We need much more assimilation as it is crucial that our country be one at this time.

CNN ripped Trump for being a racist, among a lot of other things, all during the primaries & campaign. CNN is now being sued in a class action lawsuit for.....racial discrimination. And, oh, yea. CNN did not give any debate questions to Hillary either. According to CNN.

We the People are quite certain that the USA has enough Muslims now. Immigrants will be more happy in a country that enforces Sharia Law.

Not reading the entire thread or the fake news article, but didn't the majority of the 9/11 hijackers have US degrees?

Don't care. "Assimilated Muslims" have killed thousands of people in terror attacks in the past 15 years.

Islam is a terrible ideology and it won't co-exist with Western civilization. One or the other has to go.

The average terrorist has a college education. All the highjackers did for instance. So that's irrelevant.

Yeah, that 10% who believe women should be their servants are totally irrelevant.

That's just women in general over men.
