Just as title says, good ideas for white elephant/dirty santa. Looking to compile it and make it a sticky thread for you last minute shoppers.

Let's say $75 maximum. I know that'll be hard for you OT ballers. I'll start with something I found today.

Tile Key and Phone Tracker
Attach a Tile to an item and locate it by sound when it’s close but out of sight. If you still can’t find your Tiled item, use the Tile app to see its last known location on a map, or leverage the Tile community to find it for you.

Find Your Phone
When you can't find your phone nearby, press Tile to loudly ring your lost phone—even on silent. You can also log in to our website to see its last known location, make it ring or to send a lock-screen message.

Past white elephant work party I had: I bought a rat and put him in one of those hamster balls

Big hit

Even though no one else really understood the concept of white elephant gifts...

$75?? Every party I've ever gone to is like a $10-20 maximum because it's funnier to try to finding something cheap.

The Amazon Dot is probably going to be popular in white elephant this year at $49.99.

Sea monkies are always a hit.

So I went to a dirty Santa party a few years ago. It was about 15 people total and everyone was a friend of a friend so nobody really knew more than 3 other couples. Well one girl really thought it was a naughty Santa exchange so she wrapped a sex kit with anal beads, dildos, and lubes from a sex store. It was the first present opened and the biggest prude you can imagine got it. There wasn't a single other dirty gift after that. Watching this naive girl have be told what anal beads were is one of my favorite memories ever. Part of me thinks she was too embarrassed to go home with it. Another part of me thinks she uses them every night.

We do this every year. The things that get stolen the maximum number of times are alcohol gift sets and throws. Yes, fricking throws.

Every year one side of my family does this. I don't really care, I usually get something that is good to have around the house or will go with a gift card to somewhere like wal-mart and include some lottery tickets. For whatever reason, people are always happy to get some lottery tickets, but I can tell you a few items NOT to get.

Flashlights: Most people have flashlights and while you think you can never have too many, when at least one person every year brings a flashlight, at some point people will complain "I got a flashlight last year".

Cookbooks: Years ago, I was at an extended family Christmas party. I wasn't playing, but they were doing the whole white elephant thing and its a big family so there were a big group of people playing. I had an uncle who got something and he was all excited about it because it was something he needed.. He was like the first or second person to pick.. They got down to the last person whose gift was a cook book.. He decided to take whatever my uncle had and he was stuck with a cook book, he was extremely pissed.. He was yelling "this is a stupid fricking game, who the hell brought a cook book?" No one said anything, but after a little while he figured it out.. And whoever it was left... But evidently a cook book is a thumbs down.

hose pipes: Had the same person bring one of these 2 years in a row.. No one wanted it and I think it ended up with the person who bought it.. both times.

The conflation of white elephant and dirty santa has led to some shitty Christmas parties in recent years because half the people bring shite gifts and half the people take it seriously.
