I have no idea how connected you are, but will give my thoughts on this:
I get that this is just your 'opinion' but what is the rush to hire Orgeron? Orgeron is the backup plan, would it really hurt to have a few more days discussion between Jimbo and Herman? It's not like Orgeron is going anywhere

Great....so we fired a longtime successful coach b/c the offense sucked to promote his DL coach to his position. You know who overpaid for their coach recently.....Michigan. Where are they at right now?
If you want to compete with Bama, tOSU, etc. year in and year out, you have to spend. If you don't think Herman is worth the risk then don't, but if you think he would bring LSU where you want them to be, then you have to make the deal.

What happens when O gets the job and has these promises of Kiffin being the o cordinator but Kiffin declines it? So basically they will hire him before they know for sure if he can fulfill the promises?

Word is leaking that Herman has agreed to terms with Texas. Might still be Trace but Texas sources seem confident. Personally, I think LSU may have dodged a bullet. I'm a fan of Herman as a coach but he is a meltdown waiting to happen. And there are other issues. At the worst, Orgeron will leave LSU with a superior roster.

Exactly. 1) why would kiffin make a lateral (at best) move. 2) are we supposed to just wait until after bama goes through the playoffs to finalize this? Color me skeptical

I guess we can just hope that its a bluff from the AD to try to force a decision from Herman or Jimbo, but that seems like a horrible idea

So it's Herman's if he wants for he gets first refusal... if not they move onto O, but they will give jimbo all the time he needs on Sunday to come to LSU. Well looks like you have all your bases covered lol.

Don't know why so many are hating on this guy/thread. I've seen waaaaaay too many coaching changes threads (not just on TD and LSU's search) and this is one of the few that actually seems legit. Most of the others set off the bullshite detector, this one isn't.
For those that say he's only regurgitating info from other places - at the bare minimum he's at least compiling it all into one place for everyone.
