It is all about the upcoming dead period which starts next Monday I believe. They want to announce so the Coach will have a week to soldify the recruits. LSU does have a top 5 class as of now.

I would pay that much for Harbaugh also. Herman and Fisher are not him. Im all for offering 10 mill to Saban and Meyer. and even Peterson. just because you pay doesnt mean that equates to wins.

I agree. That's why I said: if you believe Herman gets LSU to where you want them to be, then make the deal. If you aren't sold on Herman, then no, don't overpay.
