It's Mike Gundy. He took over a bad Oklahoma State team. His record as a coach.

Big 12 Coach of the year in 2010
Paul Bear Bryant Award 2011
Eddie Robinson Coach of the year 2011
Now, understand this. Many of these wins came when Mack Brown was leading a very strong Texas team and Bob stoops was leading a very strong Oklahoma team. TCU was also very good at times in this tenure, and recently a strong Baylor team.
He runs great offenses. He's a high character guy. He's a consistent winner. At a top tier school with rich recruiting grounds, I think he does as good as anyone.
Another thing: you cannot doubt his desire to win and passion for the game. This guy needs a long hard look! I would love to have him if we can't get Tom Herman. I think he's far and away the 3rd best candidate that realistically lands here.

He has to cut that shite behind his head first

I would take Gundy over Fedora any day of the week.

Gundy is a great coach, but I don't know if he would leave his alma mater for another college job.

We just take all the Oklahoma state coaches

He belongs to the coaching tree of Bo Schembechler through Miles per wikipedia. Do not want.

quote:I wouldn't say he took over a bad team. They had been to 3 straight bowl games with records of 8–5, 9–4, and 7–5. Mediocre maybe, but not bad.

Actually, I think he'd be better than Jimbo.

Wouldn't be excited
But wouldn't want to burn it down either

If we hire Mike fricking Gundy I'm going to melt.

I would love that hire, but it won't happen.
He's made the offseason a sport of telling other schools no. If you read up, he's turned down Texas, Florida, Tennessee, and Arky in the past.
He'll stay at his alma mater.
