Help me settle an argument. Is it rude to recline your seat on an airplane if someone is seated behind you? I say yes.

I don't do it and certainly hate when the a-hole in front of me does.

Of course not. There is plenty of room in first class.

I think it's rude. Typically the only people that I ever see do it are first time flyer types.

It's far more rude to take offense at someone using the recline function on the seat for which they paid.

If you recline in front of me, there will be something "different" about your hair. You won't feel it and you won't know what it is. But it will happen.

I don't do it. It doesn't really do anything for comfort.

I don't do it besides overnight flights because I feel bad for the person behind me

I usually don't do it, but sometimes I will. It really just depends. It doesn't bother me if the person in front of me does, because it usually doesn't affect me.

How does it hurt the person behind you to recline your seat?

I actually kinda like it because I like to lean forward and rest my head against it to sleep

I don't go all the way back, but I'll recline a little. If I see the person behind me is 6'5 I won't cramp his leg room, but if it's a little kid or something I have no problem reclining.

I travel frequently for work and I always recline the seats. I couldn't give less fricks about the person sitting behind me.

Why the frick would it be rude? The seat reclines, recline it if you want. Jesus some of you people.

People who do it are disproportionately the type who do other rude shite on flights, in my experience. Like the douche who rushes to the front and fricks up the orderly deboard process. Or the girl who brings laughably oversized luggage and pouts when shite doesn't fit.

If you're on an international flight on a decent plane, fine, do whatever you want. But on a 90 minute jaunt?

The seats recline. Recline it if you want.

I'm 6'2" tall and it does not bother me when someone in front of me reclines their seat.
