Would you blow the whistle if the company you were working for is committing medicaid fraud?

If you know about a crime and do not report it you are committing a felony. so yes.

The federal government and Louisiana have some laws that could lead to some nice pay days for the whistleblowers if it is actual, legit fraud.

you better be 100% right, and have tons of documentation.
If you're wrong/can't prove it, you are TOAST.
If you're right, you'll get paid.

Yes indeed
Think of how many of your tax dollars are being misused

Talk to an attorney experienced with these kind of cases first. And always remember. Get tested.

HELL YES!!!
But I'm a healthcare admin and absolutely abhor this type of abuse.

Yes. You have the chance do the right thing in dealing with something that really matters. Not like it's something small like the cashier gave you too much change.

Co-workers husband did this a few years ago and after like a multiple months undercover investigation they got busted and he got paid millions.

Damned straight I would.
I am the reason one financial corporation shut down in the 90's putting 4500 out of work and causing a bigger bankruptcy than Enron and Worldcom.
I also shut down a bunch of construction stuff, but that's like playing Whack-a-mole since they reopen the next day under a new name.
One thing a person finds out working in finance/banking: The bigger the money, the bigger the financial crime.
The scummier the people too. Put Charlie Manson in a $10k business suit and a decent haircut and he'd fit right in on Wall Street.

See an attorney. Even if you had all of the proof in the world you want to make sure it is handled in the correct manner. Look for attorneys specializing in whistleblower actions, qui tam actions or False Claims Act cases.

One hundred percent of the time. This is why I'm working on getting my emergency fund to 6 months of living expenses.

My boss who was the company Controller from a previous company was robbing them blind. I was off on a Friday to fly out of town when the whole thing went down. Lots of tension in the office I heard.
Got back Monday, still unaware of anything that happened, including his termination. 1 hour into the workday, I got called into the Operations Manager's office. The meeting went like this:
Her: "Good morning. I got good news and bad news"
*I get nervous*
Her: "Good news is, here's your Holiday bonus". The bad news is...*gulps*....KB is no longer with the company"
Talk about shock and relief at the same time.
Of course later on I found out what happened. He had been embezzling for years

The CEO and CFO of the company I work for was committing fraud. But nobody knew and it all blew up in their faces recently. If I would have known, I would have said something.
