What do you guys give O credit for?

You say something good about the offense and you say well O does not know anything about offense. You say something good about the defense thats not O thats Aranda. Tell me this what the frick did Miles know when he was coach? Your coach does not have to be an expert in all phases of the game to be a great coach. The man has single handedly saved our season. Give the man some credit. If we get a great OC, OL coach and maybe a qb coach I think we might be set.

He gets credit for motivating the team, having them ready to play, cutting down on practice time, knowing the areas to focus on, and being an all around good coach. I haven't heard anyone say otherwise and neither have you.

From what I have been reading all morning all he gets credit for when we win is giving good pep talks and doing secret handshakes. Because interim head coaches don't do anything.
But for some reason the Alabama game is all his fault and proves why he will never be more than a dl coach.
It's fascinating, really.

He fired Cameron, can motivate, recruit, and he altered the practice schedule.
At some point a good head coach will have to make adjustments. At the end of the day, you can't just be a CEO to be a great coach. You have to actually be able to coach. It's damning that they couldn't get anything going on offense and at the end of the day it can be linked to Orgeron not having any coaching ability on that side of the ball.

Getting this team to play much better than it had under Miles. He has done that and then some. Still, LSU needs a different HC.

The best thing Orgeron has done is get Miles out of the playbook.
His practice schedule has gotten a lot of compliments from players and pundits alike.
He has managed the company business and let the players and coaches focus on prep.
He has pumped some energy into this team each week and has had them mentally ready to play. I even include the Bama game because they were ready but a few seemed to have been overwhelmed with it all.
Seems to have held this recruiting class together for now.
Seems to have instilled some discipline in the team as evidenced by the number of minor suspensions.
Oh Hell I almost forgot this one! He has brought back dissemination of meaningful info in the weekly pressers and radio shows!

Coach O has changed everything that Miles was criticized for. Hes breathed new life into a stale program and thats why the team is playing so well. He's done a great job at what he's been asked to do, and i dont think anybody is arguing that.
But I still think the emotion is going to fade and then we will need to be better strategically than other teams. I dont think O brings that aspect to the table like a Herman or Jimbo or top tier coach would.

Not one thing. He's just a damned ole coon arse cheerleader. Get with it - we're doomed if we pick him. Could've done the same thing with Miles' wife. That's why he was sad after stomping Arkansas. He gone.

That’s the most total offense the Fighting Tigers have ever put up against an SEC opponent, and the 418 rushing yards were their most in an SEC game since Oct. 30, 1976, when they racked up 426 against Ole Miss.
LSU had two 100-yard rushers (Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams) and a 200-yard passer (Danny Etling) in the same game for the second time since 2013, and a total of nine players had receptions on the night, including two fullbacks and two tight ends.
LSU did all this without completely revamping its offense and abandoning its identity as a smash-mouth, run-oriented football team, but by just making some tweaks to formations and introducing a few new plays.
Josh Growden averaging 47.7 yards (a career-high) on his three punts. (The fact that Growden only punted three times in this contest further illustrates how dominant LSU’s offense was.)
Guice ran for a career-best 163 yards and three TDs on 17 carries for an average of 9.6 yards per carry.

This exceptional average has enabled him to reach the 1,000-yard mark in fewer carries than any player in LSU history.

LSU’s defense has given up just six touchdowns in the first six games of the season.

After averaging just 21 points in its first four games,
LSU more than doubled that by averaging 43.5 points per contest in home victories over Missouri (42-7) and Southern Mississippi (45-10).
LSU is the only team in the country that has held every one of its opponents to under 21 points.

LSU’s third down conversion rate through its first four games this season (20-50, 40%). In its three games under Coach O, the Tigers have increased their third down conversion rate to 48.4% (15-31).

Leonard Fournette runs roughshod over Ole Miss, into the LSU record book
a record-setting 284-yard performance for the nationally televised audience. The Rebels had no answer for Fournette as he scored on runs of 59, 76 and 78 yards en route to breaking Alley Broussard's school record of 250 rushing yards in 2004.
How incredible was Fournette? After a 1-yard loss on his first carry, Fournette gained 250 yards on his next six carries. His gains, in order: 59; 5; 24; 8; 76; 78. He averaged a video-game-like 35.6 yards a carry on his first seven runs.
He added to his extensive career highlight reel with a trademark trucking of Deontay Anderson in the second quarter.
The Tigers shut out Ole Miss in the second half, holding the Rebels to 37 yards and one first down through the third quarter and half of the fourth.
