Never a Jerry Jones or Romo enthusiast, I am becoming enamored w/ the Cowboys

I love this Dak Prescott kid. He is not just the future but the now for Dallas. To go back to Romo while Prescott is on this roll would be ludicrous. Dak is making this NFL QB gig look easy, which we all know it is anything but. If Bill Belichick would've put Bledsoe back starting would we have ever known the artistry of Tom Brady???

If Dak rolls Green Bay Romo is done and he knows it.

How many of these Dak/Romo threads are we going to have between now and November?

Anything is better than another 10,000 UF-LSU threads

They are fun to watch for sure.

When they get Dez back, it'll be even more fun.

I've hated the Cowboys my whole life. I have a business and second home in the Texoma area and everyone there are Cowboys fans.
I told my wife yesterday that for the first time in my life I am rooting for the Cowboys. Between Prescott and Jerry telling his whole team that they have to stand for the anthem, I am all in.

Dak is playing EXCEPTIONAL football and has a bright future. That said, he has obvious rookie limitations. He misses a lot of deep and intermediate reads and hasn't developed his deep ball accuracy just yet.
Tony Romo, when healthy, is an elite NFL QB. Go watch his 2014 film, he makes so many throws Dak simply can't make yet. Romo is one of the best ever at keeping his eyes downfield when he leaves the pocket and eludes pressure, in fact he is second all-time in yards per attempt when under pressure and third all-time outside the pocket.
Romo is haunted by the legacy he forced from 2006-2010. Since 2011 he has carried otherwise below average teams to the playoffs/brink of the playoffs every year.
If he is healthy, you simply have to give him a chance. If he is even 80% of 2014 Romo combined with Zeke it's an unbelievable combo.

What if Romo is 100% of 2015? 7 picks in 4 games with a 79.4 QB rating.

This will not be a controversy...Romo can not stay healthy...they will start Romo when he is healthy and he'll be hurt 1.5 games later...his injuries are very repeatable, collar bone, back etc. he is great but too brittle...

Romo led two great fourth quarter comebacks in the 2014 postseason, one stolen on a top 5 all time terrible call.

Romo is not, nor has been an elite QB. He's a gambler who takes risks which occasionally pay off. As a rookie, Dak is already better with the ball than Romo.
From a thread on shaggytexas:
2014 Romo vs 2016 Dak:
Romo: 4-1
110/159 for a 69.2% completion rate

34 rush yards.
0 rush tds
Dak: 4-1
107/155 for 69%
1239 yds
4TDS 0 INTS
Rating 101.5
yds/attempt: 7.99
rush yards: 61
