I am aware that it is historically low, but in today's rate environment it seems slightly high for credit score.

A lot more to rates than just credit scores. LTV and debt to income for starters

How important is it to close on time? If not, just go with the lowest rate. Someone like Amerisave, hard to beat those rates.

However, rarely is the cheapest the best. If not closing on time will cost you, then you may too keep that in mind as well.

That rate does seem really high, relatively speaking. I'd suggest getting more quotes.

We ended up going with Quicken Loans after shopping around.

Got quoted 3.5 from Whitney 2 weeks ago. Also got offered 3.625 from Gulf Coast.

Very easy process, lowest closing costs and best interest rates when I was shopping. Like others have said with your credit score and down payment I would think you would be getting the best rate available pretty much anywhere

Just checking on your quicken experience. Some are great,some not so great.
