Toss up in between the Fountain and Thin Red line. Painful movie experiences that just got worse and worse, they just wouldn't end. I hate that Malick guy now and would never watch anything he does. Most overrated director of all time..

Gods of Egypt was truly awful.

ETA: I watched that movie where Zac Efron tries to become a DJ and steal Emily Ratajkowski from his DJ mentor. Also really, really bad.

The Matrix Revolutions, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (the other two that followed as well), and Blade Trinity are the most disappointing mainstream movies in history for me. I left the theater incredibly distraught about what I had just seen. These movies do not belong in the same stratosphere as the previous movies in their franchises.

Five immediately come to mind:

Suicide Squad, for the obvious. Unforgivable. Never forget.

Some stupid arse pos movie starring Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek, and Woody Harrelson. I don't even remember the title, only that it was fricking awful, a dumb boring plot, and riddled with clumsy cliched dialogue. "Let's do this" was used like 5x.

Batman & Robin, for the obvious. Unanimously agreed upon as one of the worst movies ever made by humans. Schumacher deserved to be garrotted for making that crap, but then he apologized for making it so I no longer feel revenge, only pity.

Funny People. The people were not funny at all and were pieces of shite on top. In fact, I hated them all and found myself wishing them dead. I rooted for the cancer with Adam Sandler's character. Horrible, dumb, pointless plot with despicable characters that were not funny.

No Strings Attached. I love Natalie Portman but not even she could stop me from hating this terrible movie. Dumb, boring, meaningless plot littered with characters that I could not care less if they lived or died. A father character trying so hard to be funny and failing. An annoying Mindy Kaling. The best thing about the movie was Ashton Kutcher. That says it all.

These threads are dumb.

Instead of being about the worst box office movies, it devolves to "what generally liked movie can I shock people with?"

One idiot says Bagger Vance, there is a Lebowski mention, so on and so on.

Because those movies are worse than Monkeybone, Battlefield Earth, and such? Please. . .

Bagger Vance is fricking Citizen Kane next to a shitload of films.

I bet somebody reading this thread wants to say Citizen Kane, Shawshank, and Godfather. . .

A Passage to India

It has a 7.4 rating on IMDB

It has an 85% approval rating on RT.

I don't care, I hate this film...it is the most god-awful worst thing.

The worst experience I ever had watching a film. Nothing happened. Ever. Sitting around drinking tea looking at the desert.

Way before the English Patient, there was this disaster.

Elaine cried about how slow and boring English Patient was?

Passage to India makes English Patient look like a JJ Abrams film...It makes Andy Warhol's film Sleep...seem interesting.

David Lean really screwed the pooch in accepting this awful novel for adaption.
