Looking for some help. My mother in law and son are off of 16 right across the street from greys creek elementary. Last I spoke to them was last night and they were high and dry. Anyone know if that area is still good?

I'm at work on Highland by Healing Place. Is that creek that runs underneath Highland supposed to rise soon?

shite, I'm in Mandeville and have to get my info from here bc NO news outlets are not covering it.

I've been frustrated about this also. My internet went out yesterday due to the water so i haven't been able to stream from any other source. Extremely disappointed in the local outlets not covering the situation today.

Street flooding is happening in Jeffereson Terrace currently

I don't understand the backflow map. I grew up a couple of houses down from the corner of Floynell and Cal from JT Elementary towards Jefferson Highway. My parents just sold that house last year and moved away. The house was built in 1955 by my great uncle and my parents were there from 1977-2015. In that time it NEVER flooded...not even that I can recall. If THAT gets flooded then it has to be VERY BAD.

I live in Summerwood off of Burbank which backs up to Bayou Fountain. Just walked back to take a look and it is full but does appear to be moving ever so slightly. Unfortunately I haven't been checking regularly so I can't say how that compares to earlier. We are about to leave and head to the in-laws. Hope it is for nothing but better safe than sorry.
