Looking to buy an SUV for about 35k. Would prefer a low mileage used with 3rd row seats. What does the OT recommend we look at.

Sounds like you might need to look into Hyundai or Mazda

Avoid the GM SUV'S like the tahoe, yukon, suburban equipped with the 5.3 cylinder deactivation engine. Lifter issues as well as oil consumption issues. Now if the vehicle has had both of the issues addressed, then you're ok. If not, stay away imho.

Is the third row a deal breaker? If not, you can get a brand new, fully loaded Outback in your price range. Amazing vehicle.

Then buy a minivan. Get a damn nice one for 22k...

Take the difference and blow it on a vacation. And drive new van on kickass vacation

If you want the most bang for your buck be on the lookout for a 2016 GMC Acadia. The factory incentive is very good for these right now. The 2017 is going to be smaller and cheaper so they are slashing the price on the 2016's to clear them off the lot.

Around $35K but you would have to ship it from Thailand.
