I agree. It's amazing how easy it is to put employees against each other. 99% of employees would benefit from everyone being open about it.

Must not be that much disparity with the way you spell.

Don't know where you work but as a salesperson Ive always known what everyone makes both base and bonus. They have always used this as a motivational tool and it seems to be pretty effective.

We have filters in place now to prevent such shenanigans. Outside emails were our biggest problem. Every time they'd ask if it could be recalled and they already knew the answer.

Not a good scenario for the morale of those in the lower half. Expect some serious attitudes for a while by some associates. Good luck to all!

As a Compensation guy, this is bad juju. Employers can no longer retaliate for employees sharing their information, but those in the know should never send out confidential info

Base and projected bonus/commission.

Id imagine the base(s) are similar. Bonus/commissions are earned via production, so it shouldn't be a secret who the producers are already.

Still not something you want sent out, but if it's really just a disparity in commissions then I don't see much of an issue...would have been known by all already... Probably just putting a $ number next to a ranking that was already known.

I would agree that all employees should know what each other make if people were self-aware and could honestly critique their strengths and opportunities.

BUT they don't.

Generally you'll find the worst performers think they're the best performers in the workplace.

If you're unhappy with your compensation find a new job. Simple really.

This is so OT. I bet you are near the bottom of OT salaries, just by the fact you had to add the "top end" comment.

That just oozes insecurity.

I suppose being in the 51st percentile technically qualifies as the "top end."

True statement right here. I could name a few in my office that feel like this.
