OT Med Folks--My Docs are Stumped

8 year lurker. Feel so familiar with most of you had to start new account just to post...anyways
36 year old male , maybe 5lbs overweight
March 2016 Annual wellness check discovers a bruit on right side neck
Ultrasound and CT dye scan shows 75% blockage. Docs recommend endarterectomy Procedure performed April 2016
Now here's the trouble--after surgery Doc sais "You looked different in there then what I always see" (He does about 6 of these a week). He sais "you're muscle and fat was very stuck together , a sign of inflammation , then inside you're artery where I Expected lots of plaque, you had some plaque and lots of inflamed tissue , but oh well you are 0% blocked now and good to go. See you in 6 weeks"
Six weeks later new ultrasound and CT dye scan show 100% blockage. Only the left side carotid along with vertebral veins are supplying blood/oxygen to brain
Multiple labs , no high inflammation markers noted
So what now? Hate to start over with more Docs just to see them scratch their heads like my current docs are. Need a Doc who has seen this before
I know "Why the OT?" But I am going EVERYWHERE with this as I sure anyone would
Any advice from the med folks out there?

I can't help you, but damn son I'm worried about you. I hope it all works out that's for sure.

Damn, dude. Are you going to die?

I'm no doctor, but that sounds rather dangerous. I would see as many doctors as would take me.

Welcome to the OT.
We've been having a two-week long conversation on how doctors are generally idiots, and are in it to milk insurance companies for the money.
There are a few doctor posters who seemingly dick around on here all day, so I doubt they would be of any use to you.
However, if that doc misdiagnosed you, you may have grounds for a lawsuit. If you want to discuss options and potential settlements, let me know.

My brother-in-law is an opera singer and he recently had some kind of infection in the muscles of his neck. It was very odd and I had never heard of anything like it before. Could you have something similar?

I would find a different doctor... that whole 2nd opinion thing.

Probably a terrible place to ask for medical advice.
But seems like something a stent could at least help.
And I'd get my arse a second, third, and fourth opinion.

No singing for me but who knows....seems like the million labs would have found infection by now. I've done tons of research on Carotid problems and it's always a plaque(cholesterol) problem or dissection from injury. So I don't fit either of these and Docs are scratching heads. Surely SURELY I'm not the first person to ever have blocked carotid that's not from plaque or injury. Anyways thanks for prayers and if any Docs or med workers have advice it's certainly welcome...

Michael Douglas says he got throat cancer from eating out so many women.
You probably have neck cancer from sucking so much D.
But seriously, I wouldn't wait for them to figure it out and go see someone else.

Call up a good rheumatologist.

So what did the doctor say/recommend you do? Just say I'm stumped and can't help you?

I would check with a nurse practitioner.

Go to a better hospital. Don't dick around and delay. I'd also go ahead and get copies of all your medical records from your doctors.
