An excellent shooter who can't defend and isn't an explosive athelete? Sounds like a pretty good player to me.

Private workouts don't measure athleticism just skill

Private workouts can still include those tests if a team is that worried.

I mean he's going top 10 regardless

Damn.

Atheltici test is pretty big for a 6'4" SG. Really want to see what he would jump. Starting to worry about these 6'7", 6'8" guys BH will have to matchup with

A player who specialize in skill just won a MVP back to back.

That isn't necessarily the case. A team could ask him to do anything.

Allen was a great athlete. He had some highlight reel dunks in his younger years and participated in the dunk contest

shite, he was still dunking in his final years as an old man

Once Allen lost is athleticism, he was still amazing. If Hield can be anything like Allen after he lost his athleticism, no one will complain.

By NBA standards, he was not a "great athlete."

Ray Allen Top 10 Dunks

I mean, it's a highlight reel by definition, but those are pretty pedestrian dunks by 6'6" NBA player standards.

Let's talk about the dunk contest:

Deke's reaction said it all.

He played in college for 4 years. We know how athletic he is. he doesn't need to test his vertical in front of scouts for them to figure out he's not some elite freak athlete.

There is nothing for Buddy Hield to prove at the combine.
