So @PennLive is so stupid they really think guy told Joe Paterno JS abused them but that person never made themselves known to media/Freeh?!

John Ziegler ?@Zigmanfreud

Does @ChasThompson1 really believe that Joe Paterno "knew" in 1976 & decided to not only protect Sandusky but PROMOTE that nobody in 1977?!!

John Ziegler ?@Zigmanfreud

Consistent with insanity of PSU "scandal," BS 1976 Paterno story should make media realize its ALL a fraud, but will confirm their fairytale

This John Ziegle guy makes 9/11 truthers seem logical.

I disagree do r LSU. That is one thing we do well as a fanbase. We don't turn people into dietys. Go watch the rant. Once you screw up, we are more than willing to turn on you. Hell, Jamarcus never really did anything that bad and people still disowned him. We also disowned our only heisman winner for decades just for making fake money

This made me chuckle. Totally true.

The thing is that not all murders are created equal. Society does mourn a murder of a mobster or a prisoner.

Typically speaking murders happen for a reason. Not that I am celebrating murders. Just saying that as a society we find some murders to be "acceptable" but you'll never here someone say "that child had it coming"

Gary Plauche murdering his sons kidnapper is a perfect example of society being ok with a murder

Do you even understand the law? You can't make an accusation without proof. He reported it.

It was up to Penn St not Paterno to decide how to act.

holy shite.

explain why he continued to let Sandusky use PSU facilities for activities with CHILDREN.

I can't believe you believe this shite.

It's odd that you have less than 200 posts in over a year yet are exerting so much effort into this particular subject. Look, your point is well taken, and I get where you're coming from in making it. But obviously more than one person has felt differently than you do, so coming in here and acting like arguing this is like arguing that the sky is blue is pretty douchy. Do you attempt to talk down to everyone that has a different opinion than you on other subjects too?

I wasn't questioning his intelligence. I mentioned it because it was just strange that someone who doesn't post much has contributed a larger percentage of his posts to one very specific and obscure subject in one thread. frick off

So the insurance claim says JoePa knew about it, and y'all automatically believe it is true?

So it is strange for someone to feel strongly about something? It a thread about child abuse. Of course people will have things to say.

After all of this PSU/Paterno/Sandusky business in the last few years and from what I've read here and elsewhere. People in Pennsylvania are a really fricked up group. It's a cult of lies and cover ups for people they bolster as "good people who tried to do the right thing". I wouldn't even drive thru that shithole, much less stop or visit any place there.

Is it really that inconceivable to you? What was it like late 1990s Joe took the abuse allegations to PSU officials and in the late 70s Sandusky founded and began molesting children at his kids charity event?

Are you fricking kidding me? Are you serious? Is that really the best defense Joe has? That he told his superiors?

"Welp, Jerry is a child molester, but I told my superiors so I guess I shouldn't fire him or bring him to the cops. I will keep him on my staff and around kids instead."

I mean for fricks sake. If his best defense is "I told me superiors," then Joe Pa supporters deserve to rot in hell

In-fricking-deed.

Paterno was the most powerful man in State College PA.

Hell, due to his position and influence he was one of the most powerful men in the goddam STATE.

If he had wanted something to happen, it damn well would have happened.

Which tells me all I need to know in the fact that NOTHING happened.

It is not just that claim. There were multiple reports made to Paterno over the course of, what looks like 2 decades. He did the absolute bare minimum required by law, and then only did so after years and years.

LOL at you guys who still believe that Paterno couldn't do any goddam thing he wanted to do within the confines of University Park.

ESPECIALLY if that thing was with the purpose of protecting CHILDREN.

Which screams to those of us with a rational mind WHY he did nothing.

Black-eye to the program? Historical legacy? THOSE were the more important considertations to Good Catholic Joe Paterno rather than the well being of innocent children.

The community turned a blind eye to it because of the football program. Should have shut it down, they chose football over what is right. There are people in happy valley still in denial. They haven't learned their lesson.

They absolutely turned a blind eye. And it's not like people didn't know. Hell, the on campus ice cream shop had a ice cream dish that made fun of it.

No. The claim was made by a victim during a deposition while under oath.

You do understand that he didn't control who had access as Sandusky was tenured and the school gave him access.

Why was he tenured?

Which person *in particular* allowed him to be a part of the Penn State program long enough to gain that merit?

Come on... say the name. You know you can.
