You are wrong. Murder is a lot less horrid. The person once dead has there suffering end. Child rape victims experience psychological pain for the rest of there lives.
If you wrote this and don't realize how objectively incorrect it is on every conceivable level, then I don't know that I'm gonna be able to put you on the right path.
Life is pain, holmes. It's less than pleasant. And yet the lengths we'll go to stay alive.
To say that being dead is better than being alive with some scars to overcome is not just silly, it's just, again, objectively indefensible. It's 0% right.

No they don't! Some might. I've never met a rape victim or a sexual abuse victim who wish they would have gotten murdered.
I have met family and friends of victims who may have thought that.
But nothing could be further from the truth.
Scarred for Life is a myth. I have met people scarred for life, but their support system was shite.
Some may be able to overcome and I am very glad for them.
However there are very many that NEVER are able to live that down. It ruins that person for life.
Scarred for life is not a myth and I pray that you never have to go through that or have to know a family member go through something like that. It leaves a damn big scar that definitely isn't a myth even through tremendous support.
Some nightmares you can't wake up from and the world isn't all fairy tales no matter how much you want to believe it is.
I'd say more but I don't feel like getting banned today.

Being ruined is better than being dead.

Scarred > not alive

A life that is less than a fairy tale is still a life

Right, because your points are so compelling.

For some the horror of what has happens haunts them for the rest of their lives, it can even make death seem better than living (which is why some victims commit suicide, turn to drugs, have severe depression)
quote:
Scarred > not alive
Except you live your life wishing you were dead (and some try to commit suicide, some do) because everywhere you go you can never shake the feeling that it will happen again. You don't want to get close to anyone because you are scared. You feel ashamed even though you know you have nothing to be ashamed about.

A life that is a nightmare is not much of a life. The victim is forced to live that nightmare that in many ways can feel like a prison.

It is a quite personal subject for me and I will leave it at that. But I can assure you that for the victim it can feel like a life that is not worth living and death can at times seem like a better option.
It also is a nightmare that never goes away, not 5 years later, not DECADES later, NEVER.
All I will say is that you beliefs are very ignorant and victims of rape, and in particular child sexual abuse, never get over the crimes that were done against their will.
Not saying that some don't get over it but many never do no matter how much support they receive.

No, because when you are alive you always have the option of not being alive. When you are dead, you do not have the option of trying out the other side for a while. Simple stuff.

Yeah, I wish I were taller. Life sucks, then you die.

We're all in our prisons at some level. There's no escaping our own brains. yet, still better than being dead because you at least have that option.

No, they are very realistic, and completely correct. Does it suck to get raped? Sure. Is it way better than lengthy incarceration or death. All day err day.

I believe in the idea of depressioin. It's just better than being dead and to argue otherwise is silly .

I sort of feel bad for that ginger QB coach. His only correct course of action in retrospect would have been to rush across that shower and try or succeed in beating Sandusky to death. That would have got more than campus police involved.
He was a 28 year old GA at Penn State. One hell of a GA job. I assume no kids. Now that I have a son I believe I would have beat his arse. But at 28? I can see doing what he did. Which was call coaches, supervisor, and campus police/security. Everyone above that coaches head who showed up afterward, and met in that locker room, and did not arrest or get city/state police involved acted criminally. The uselessness in that locker room meeting had to be comically pathetic.

He told his superiors (allegedly and as if he really had "superiors"), that was enough we're told by the JoPa's.

He may have met his legal obligation, but Joe Pa never questioned Sandusky still being around? Still being with children. Joe Pa knew and didn't care about anything other than his reputation and legacy.

I haven't read the thread, but I am sure it has been discussed in the previous 9 pages.
I've been around Paterno more than a handful of times and I can say that he and his family are/were good people. Just my opinion, and I no have no expectation of changing the opinions of those who disagree.

Oh. Oh lord
I'm sure Sandusky was a friendly person as well. I'm pretty sure I'm familiar with your postings. You're smart enough to realize that enjoying someone's company has nothing to do with whether they do bad things or not.
