Sorry I just don't appreciate this statistical analysis as much as you would like me to.
God, the idiotic mindset of our front office has gotten to the fans. Now everyone is trying to spread touches and get schemey "looks" -- even when considering who gets drafted from where!

DRAFT PROVEN PLAYERS FROM RELEVANT CFB
TIL that Ohio State, the ACC, and the Pac12 was not "relevant CFB".

1. there are a ton of good players on that list
2. The guys we are taking over them are just not good.
in 2014 we could have gone Varrett in the first round and Jarvis woudl have been sitting there in the second.
We would be a significantly better team with Varrett and Landry than we are now with Cooks and the Ghost of Jean-Baptiste.
You can argue all you want about the risk of taking La'el Collins, but it was less of a risk than taking Garrett. A guy who isn't even our fricking backup. Then you hear shite like we didn't even reach out to him, which can't be true , right?
Vaccaro over Reid.

These guys' only reason for existing is piss us off, and to see that.
It can be hard to resist, but there's no arguing with them. Pointing out obviously factually incorrect assertions just plays into their hands. It's the part of the Internet that brings out the worst in people.

FWIW I agree with you. We have jack shite to show for our past few drafts.
Posted on 5/3/16 at 11:56 am to lsu712
Not going through the he whole thread, but the major point I take away is this.
If all these players were available when the saints drafted then apparently every other team passed on them also, so what is the big fricking deal?

The time and effort put into this...
You must have stayed up for days and pulled out all of your hair.

This still pisses me off. Just burn a late pick and force his hand.

2-63 Jarvis Landry-WR
We could have a solid WR without moving up in the draft.

1-18 Eric Reid-S
I hated taking KV over Reid.

Collins was actually not that good his rookie year
Cooks is far more versatile than Landry is
Reid is good, not great. Yea I know KV isn't either. KV was the better prospect at the time al things considered.

C'mon man. This list is delusional without realistically breaking down the team's needs for each draft and (Non-Hindsight) expectation for every player on the roster at a position which you would have drafted one of these players.

its actually got to take like minutes.
Its every LSU player drafted after our the saints first pick. So basically every LSU player in that entered the NFl the last 3 years - Odell and Mingo.

I agree with Collins, late pick and force his hand. Other than that.... Get over it
The last 2 drafts were solid imo
