V's Barbershop, you ever go there? Says it's run by mostly Russians...
Russian barber shops are the best. There was one in D.C. that I frequented while working in Georgetown.

damn. Is this the norm for all females? I know its like a few hundred bucks to get your hair did correct?
It's usually $150 to get my hair highlighted and trimmed. I go every 8-12 weeks. My stylist has been doing my hair for 8 years now. I at least tip 20% each time($30)...and sometimes I will tip more if it's around Christmas or I'm just feeling generous. My hair is one of my best features because of how well a job my stylist does. And she is a really sweet girl with two kids to support.

Just think if you got a cheaper haircut and saved for a few years, booooom, you could afford an awesome scottsdale boob job.
I go to sportclips. $17 haircut. Give them a $20 and leave.

Yep, I cringe when I take my daughter to get her hair done up.
I pay $35 and tip $7.

cheaper haircut
It isn't the haircut that is expensive...it's the coloring.
And when it comes to coloring your hair(especially highlights like I have)...you get what you pay for. I've tried going the cheap route and ended up paying more to fix the disastrous results.

They get a $20 from me for the cut and whatevers left for the tip. (think my usual place haircut is like $15, some places its $16, $18, whatever. Everybody gets $20. So much easier and faster than to wait on change, behind other people, etc. Thanks and out the door.

There is a serial downvoter in here
I'm beginning to think someone just hates the idea of people getting haircuts In the first place

Many of the stylists only get a portion of what is charged. Ive heard 25%, 33%, and 50% from 3 different stylists. I dont know how it works though.
I am one of those 5-10 tippers. Generally, i tip better for a cheaper haircut.
