quote Knob Creek age statement is no more.

No surprise, most large corporate multinational beverage companies have moved away from age statements due to lack of stock. This is the movement in Single Malt and will be in bourbon. Look at it this way I have had some 12yr Scotch that I would rate a 90 and I have had some 19yr that I would rate a 75. It all depends on Cask (Barrel) quality and warehouse location.

BUFFALO TRACE DROPS NEW RARE COLLECTION OF O.F.C. BOURBONS IN CRYSTAL BOTTLES

quote:

All of the O.F.C. collection releases will be vintage dated according to the specific year in which the bourbon was distilled at Buffalo Trace Distillery. Each hand-cut crystal bottle will feature the vintage year on the label.

The first release is comprised of only 200 bottles; 100 bottles from the year 1980, 50 bottles from 1982, and 50 bottles from 1983. Future releases will unveil whiskeys from the 1990s, including a 1993 vintage and several consecutive vintage years thereafter. Subsequent O.F.C. releases will follow year after year as vintages are produced and reach maturity.

I will take "shite I will never see" for $100, Alex

Not blind, but these 3 are so different, it's pretty much a toss up.

All 3 are very unique, which made this much closer than I expected. At the end of the day, if I had to choose, I'd say hedge had it right.
GTS, SFTB, ECBP HAZMAT
But I think it could be in the exact opposite order depending on what flavor profiles you prefer on that day. The ECBP hazmat is so rich and sugary, like super concentrated Elijah Craig. It is very similar to prefire Heaven Hill. The finish is so long, I was tasting it while I was drinking the other 2 and it was easily the most drinkable even though it's the highest proof.

It's amazing to me that SFTB is not part of the antique collection. It easily holds its own right next to the gts, and brings all this BT #2 notes that I love in Blanton's, ETL and RHF.

Value wise, I would have to take ecbp hazmat + SFTB since both combined are less than the gts.
