Just bought some 1792 on a whim. Good choice for a less expensive bourbon?

I like the small batch okay. I've had a few store picks that were downright delicious.

I'm actually sipping on some Antique right now as well. Am I alone in thinking it's just alright? It's pretty hot with a short hot finish. Honestly I'd rather have the special reserve.

The 1792 Full Proof is 125 proof and damn good for 40 bucks.

Tilco I'm with you. If it cost $40-50 I'd be disappointed. At $27.99, it's a decent sipper. I mixed it with ginger ale Saturday watching games. It was good.

I still enjoy the OWA, but not anywhere near the 12...

I actually enjoy the antique more than the 12 but I'm a fan of the hotter, higher proof stuff.

I think it's called Small Batch or something similar. It was their "normal" offering.

I made an Old Fashioned with it and it was good, so I guess that is all that matters really.

I'd be interested in other recommendations in the same price range for future reference.

1792's full proof is really good. I also like their single barrel and port finish is good when you want to mix it up. Didn't care for their sweet wheat or small batch though.

Inching closer Purp. Picked up these beauts yesterday. First OBSV. NASA said it was their best barrel. The SAOS barrel 2880 is supposedly a honey barrel. Will report back soon.
