Just got tickets to Austin show at ACL Live. I somehow missed the email when the show was announced and had to resort to stubhub and get raped by fees. The good thing is that there really isn't a bad seat in the house, so I got some balcony tickets for $65 each. Still annoyed though...

that happened to me seeing Isbell there. Your right, there are no bad seats, though.

just downloaded. gonna enjoy the shite out of this on my ride tomorrow

Also not sure how far out Sturgill thought this through. If he has a second son, that kid is gonna hate his older sibling and his father for not writing him an album

If Merle left 300-400 songs unreleased to the public upon his death, Sturgill can pump out a couple more albums.

Seems to me like he has two more albums in the bank that can be dedicated to his next two sons. From what I heard, it's 5 albums and he's done anyway. I think that's a perfect idea honestly. If he releases two more albums and they push the boundaries and are the quality of the first 3, where does that leave him as an all time artist?

2 more albums of the same quality as the first 3?

All time great. I think the fact that he's 3/3 says enough about how special the guy is.

Just started listening start to finish and this album is fricking awesome.

Sea Stories is a very cool song. One of the lyrics mentions getting high and playing Goldeneye!

I believe so. Going pick up the vinyl in about an hour. It seems like the packaging for this one is much better than the first two based on pics I've seen.

One of my favorite lyrics on the album. It's so funny to hear a reference to one of the best FPS shooters in gaming history on a country album.

I actually like the line right after that best:
"And if you get sick
can't manage to kick
and get yourself kicked out of the navy...
Spend the next year tryin to score
from a futon life raft on the floor,
And the next 15 tryin to figure out
what the hell you did that for"

All time personal favorite is probably:
"Grab and glass of wine and seat to dine
and go ahead and eat the whole damn pie"
-It Ain't All Flowers

or

"The only outlaw thing that i ever done
was find a good woman and give her a ring"
-Life Ain't Fair and the World Is Mean

The copy I have doesn't, as far as I see. It came with an actual CD in it. I know he has a special edition of it that's blue. I have his other two albums on vinyl and both of those came with the digital downloads. I use Spotify anyway so it works out fine.

Just got the vinyl in the mail. Pre-ordered from his site and it came with a poster, slipmat, and blue pressing of the record. Ready to give it a spin!

It's on Spotify now. Sea Stories is an early favorite for me on first listen.
