I have to admit the first tune was a turn off but it's been solid since.

I'm actually digging his take on In Bloom.

Honestly, one of my all time favorites. That album is absolutely flawless to me.

First listen through just finished. Excellent record.

I'm not sure if it can top Metamodern, but it is damn good and it flows extremely well. Crazy how different this is compared to his other work.

I've listened to it twice today. I enjoyed it the first listen but it was even better the second go around. All in all, I think it is a very impressive breath of fresh air.

I was just trying to describe the album to a guy at work, who has never heard him, and I'm pretty sure what I told him made zero sense. He just said "cool, I'll give it a listen."

It is definitely better on the second listen. I think it's going to continue to sound better and better. I'm glad the stream for it basically forces you to listen without skipping tracks.

I'm listening to it again...that first tract.."you may not be my last, but you'll always be my first"

This is a timeless story...a father talking to his son...about becoming a man

He is so damn talented and unique. I loved his first album and this one is pretty good. I like that he dosent really give a shite about what anybody thinks. He does what he wants and that's all there is to it.

he pretty much said that word for word about this album in a recent interview...its written to his son...and if you like it...fine...if you don't...that's fine too...

I love "Sea Stories"

Didn't even see that interview. You get that impression just from the style of songs he has on this album. I don't even know what to call it for the most part it's good but I don't see it topping his first album. I agree with the previous poster that the first one was damn near perfect
