MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Relatives of a 17-year-old are angry the teenager was shot and killed by a homeowner who police say was protecting her property. The sister of the teen who died identified him as Trevon Johnson. She said he was a student at D. A. Dorsey Technical College.
I don’t care if she have her gun license or any of that. That is way beyond the law… way beyond,” said Johnson’s cousin Nautika Harris. “He was not supposed to die like this. He had a future ahead of him. Trevon had goals… he was a funny guy, very big on education, loved learning.”

Now I understand why Trump wants to wipe out the families of terrorists.

Not necessarily. Before it's considered baiting, we need to know what he had with him while he was climbing out, no? Or if it was clearly visible from an open window, does that count?

The only thing that might save her is the "confrontation".

Sounds like ole Trevon was a thief.
Congrats to the homeowner! Steal from me and I'm going for the kill shot.

Couple thoughts
1. They have these things called "jobs"
2. Wrangler jeans and pockets t-shirts from Wal mart aren't that expensive. Even Goodwill has decent stuff. Sure, you are not stylin' but clothes on your back is all you need to go to school

I smell litigation. Ambulance chasers, assemble.

This. You can't defend property with deadly force. If you are attempting to use non-deadly force to defend property and the perpetrator's actions give rise to claim of self-defense, then you can use deadly force. But using deadly force solely for defense of property or keeping a thief/burglar escaping is a no no.

A lot of blaming someone else for their poor choices.

You can shoot when defending yourself or others, but you can't shoot someone just because they are committing burglary. Context matters.

I'm a liberal as anyone, but this quote and attitude is really disturbing.
Apparently, committing burglary to get money is now no big deal in some circles.
