Muriel's....

I've been disappointed the 3x I've been. The food has always underwhelmed enough to make me forget the nice atmosphere.

Stella! lost my business, but they also lost their business, so I guess that does not count anymore.

I've never paid that much and was that disappointed. I know a lot of people here loved that place.

One place that I am very sad about is La Caretta in Houma, which is very close to my house and is a great hangout, but the food blows. Another place I was excited about was this place called Mommie's - supposed to be lebanese. The worst I've ever had. I will not set foot in that place again. I called them and told them how terrible it was.

I am thinking about calling LaCaretta owners, but they love that place so much and are so proud of it that it would hurt their feelings too much. I'll just drink beer and eat chips next visit. I'll go there again, but the food blows.

Baru on Magazine St. Found a tooth (human tooth) in our dinner one night. Really sucks because we would go there once a month or so.

Copeland's - Restaurant week deal seemed pretty good like 2 years ago, so for some reason we decided to try it. Not only was the food bad, but they brought out 6 people's appetizer, entree, and dessert out at the exact same time. Trying to fit 18 plates onto that table was a disaster.

Hooters on College - I won a coupon for like 50 free wings. I called, and made sure it was legit and they said it was. Went there that night, showed it to the waitress, she said it was legit. When I got the bill, they said they weren't able to use it for some reason that wasn't written anywhere on the coupon. I called the manager over and explained the whole situation. Pretty much told me that she didn't care and that I had to pay for all the wings still. I paid the balance of the bill as a tip to the waitress and left.

Ivar's (bar, but still) - went there one night, a guy that must have been either the owner or the manager threatened to fight us cause apparently we were in the wrong part of the bar? We were outside too. Idk why but he just started yelling at us to "get the frick out of his bar" and pushed one of my buddies. So we are doing just that and now spending all our money at other places. I just don't give my money to people who are douche bags for no reason.

Ruffino's baton rouge. After several mediocre dishes at premium prices and consistently rude waitstaff, I have no plans of ruining a future evening there ever again.

carrabba's italian grill- went for lunch and the food was not near as good as it should have been for the price.

The little Palio's close to my house is twice as good and about half the price.

I will go to Carrabba's for events or if someone else is buying but it would be my last choice for italian if I am buying.

I would rather get a Stouffer's frozen lasagne at the grocery store than go there again.

I used to love Cafe Maspero. Went once after it was taken over by Creole Concepts, and won't ever be back.
