I have a gasoline model and the gas mileage is still very good! A full-size truck rear-ended me a few years ago and my car broke his truck. Very solid.

Drove one for three years - great car! However, it's probably larger than a midsize sedan the OP wants.

Definitely either a Maxima / loaded Camry / or Lexus IS 250

I'd go with the 250 if you don't mind the drop in power.

I have a 2016 Honda Accord Touring model. The safety features and driver assist are top notch. I love it.

You could get a loaded out Honda Accord with a V-6 in that price range.

And you will never regret it.

Didn't really give a lot of info. Is a V6 required? Or do you want a I4? CVT a problem? FWD or RWD or AWD?

Honda Accord, Camry, Altima, Sonata are all good options in this segment. If you want a V6, it eliminates a few options (Mazda 6 if I recall), and opens up a few more (Maxima).

I have a V6 Accord, and it's great.

I test drove the sonata and accord last year. I loved the sonata. In terms of luxury features, you can't get more for the money than the high end sonata. The wife preferred the accord touring so that's what we went with. V6 has tons of power and the thing is a perfect highway cruiser. I would recommend both cars over the Camry- I hated our old one. Like driving a hollow metal box on wheels and the build quality was lacking imo.

You can get a fancy accord at that level.

They look nicer nowadays and still the most reliable car out there IMO.
