The fact that saying it's better for stability if Benson sells is just silly IMO. Gayle taking over is the best scenario for long term stability. She has a love for the city and still has many good years of health going forward.

When was the last time anyone actually heard Benson speak? It seems to me that he would give an interview every now and then just to let everyone know he is still coherent. Unless....

Jen Hale Has interviewed him multiple times on Pelicans broadcasts this season (started in September/October). It's fairly evident he has no idea what's going on in the basketball game or with basketball in general but he still has his faculties and isn't saying completely off-the-wall shite. I can easily see a statement being penned by Bensel and then tweaked/signed off by Mr. Benson.

He's like a many people his age. He has better moments than others. Overall, he know what's going on. He does rely on Gayle . . . a lot.

Benson is a lot better shape than people think. I've sat next to him at Pels games and know people who work very closely with them.
