We can't change shite. Even though I want Miles gone you have to still root for LSU. I can't change the fact that he is still here.

But like I said earlier, its gonna be really interesting for Miles in 2016.

Any small frick up and people are gonna call for his head.

I hope Tiger Stadium isn't brutal. I could see it getting nasty with play calling and such.

They might boo the shite out of Miles for anything now.

For me, it's not about getting over keeping Miles. It's how all this will affect the program going forward. If you're a recruit, do you want to come here with all the uncertainty of Miles' future? Not just this recruiting class, but the next few classes. Same for hiring quality assistant coaches.

It doesn't matter what side you are on, it's about the damage this fiasco caused. It's going to make Miles' job even harder than it should be. I don't know how Miles or the administration recovers from this crap.

The circus came to Baton Rouge a couple of weeks ago and I'm afraid it's not leaving anytime soon.

Look around you. What do you see in the state of Louisiana that even approaches mediocrity? Hell mediocrity would be a huge step up around here.

I am pretty damn sure that most of you using that term have no clear concept of what it means, but you are thinking it is a big word that means you are against Les Miles, so you throw it around.

Win the whole darn thing is the only answer. Winning will shut up the critics.

To the OP I agree with you in spirit. If Miles does adapt then I will like for him to stay indefinitely. But there are doubts and if there is no adaptation a change will be made and should be made. It would be a shame if his legacy would be a great career that ended not well due to the game passing him by. It is in LSU's best interests (despite what the negative side wants to think) for Miles to go out as a winner. As long as he is our coach, what is good for CLM is good for LSU:).

only on tRant

Nationally, serious consideration of Miles getting fired didn't happen until a couple of weeks ago.

The plus side is it's on the radar now. More national talking heads than Pollack, Booger and J. Palmer will notice the excruciating offense, more false starts than completions, getting smoked by Arky again, etc.

Now that it's all on the radar the margin for error is slim.

Nope. The anti-Miles cabal will find a way to say it was some kind of accident, that the team won in spite of Miles, that yeah we might have won, but what if.........and string out a list of things that could have gone wrong.
There is a certain of this state that has sold their intellect on the idea that Miles needs to be gone and nothing will ever change it. Some have been that way from day 1.

Alexander needs to deputize Les for one day and give him the power to fire Alleva.

Show me a person that thinks like this and i will show you a person that never owned an LSU shirt before 2003.

If Miles goes 14-0 and every game (sans cupcakes) is won at the very end, people will still want his head because he isn't winning the way they want him to win. LSU is going to continue to be a running team. if they can be a running team that can also pass consistently then i think ill be happy. Pass efficiently to keep defenses honest and then let LF7 do his thing.

It's only on the radar this month (if even that much). It may resurface after bowl game depending on outcome.

Media has a much shorter attention span than fans do. And, the fact that Miles kept his job can be spun to a recruit as being a positive that he has the support of the fan base and the administration. Of course, a great season next year quells the rumors of his demise... conversely, a bad record re-ignites the flames.

Truth. Go back and look at posts in December 2011. The narratives if that were to happen:

He got lucky.
He only won because of LF7.
We were 5 plays from an 8-5 season.
We did not throw enough touchdown passes.
With his 2nd NC he will be complacent and needs to go out on top otherwise we are in for 5 and 6 loss seasons.

Am I missing anything?
