Anyone have personal experience with a Shield? Caliber doesn't matter but I'm looking at a 40 that's on sale for $319 on Palmettostatearmory.com.

I've read several reviews from multiple sites and they all seem positive. Just wanted to hear from someone who's not tied to ratings or subscriptions for their review.

9mm is the way to go. Load it with Federal HSTs. .40 will be much snappier and hold less. The 9mm ones go on sale all the time.

I bought a shield in 9mm last week. I've out about 50 rounds of FMJ through it. I love it. Glad I went with it over the Ruger LC9S and Glock 43

Also shot a few federal HST rounds. That is my carry ammo.

I bought mine in gunbroker for $334.00. Had it in 3 days.

I'm gonna tell you straight up, don't order from them.

My dad has a Shield, and I have carried it a good bit. Slim gun that conceals really well. Also points well. If I was getting a small carry gun, that would be it

Shield 9mm is my EDC weapon. Bone stock and I have zero complaints. Almost went with the SR9C, but glad I didn't. Once I held the Shield, I knew it was the way to go.

I have the Shield in 9mm. Love it, accurate, comfortable to carry, and maintenance is a breeze. By a breeze, I mean that it basically doesn't need it. I've only had one jam, and that was steel casing.q

If you are set on the .40, then get an extended magazine. Allows the pinky to help hold the snappiness that was previously mentioned.

9mm shield all day. Put many rounds through mine and I love it. Hadn't shot anything besides a target until primitive weapon week. Rolled an armadillo's arse at about 10 yds. He never felt a thing.

Guy in my local gun store said its the fastest selling CC pistol this year, have heard really good things about them but y'all already have that covered.

I just wanted to say that if you do decide to get it PSA is perfectly fine to order from. When they first opened the online stuff and got real popular they did have a big problem shipping stuff correctly. I saw reports of them sometimes sending the completely wrong order and I had some of my stuff take way too long to ship. But they've greatly improved their logistics and they run very efficient now. I've had 3 different ARs shipped in multiple pieces, ammo, magazines, and as of Friday last week a sig 938 that all shipped very fast. Pistol comes in tomorrow in fact. A lot of the horror stories you hear are from people who ordered years ago and haven't given them a chance in the last year and a half, PSA is perfectly fine to buy from. Don't let it stop you if you want that pistol.
