you're right. There never is, and most of the talk will be centered around coaches who have no intention of leaving their schools, but are only playing the LSU coaching search as leverage for a raise in pay. Alabama is a good example of what it would take money wise to get a "can't miss" coach, and LSU will never do that.

How has Miami done since Coker left?

In 2015, this could be the most overrated part of LSU's program.

Geebus dude we get it. You want your 10% as his agent.

No one wants that non-knowing SEC non head coach around here.

Stop posting that stupid picture. Please

Most of you are mistaken of how "coveted" the LSU job is. There isn't a main stream coach that's going to leave their situation to make a lateral move, and come coach against Saban every year.

Very few (likely only 1)top 10 programs have a top 5 coache in place. So its very unlikely one would be asked to move

I'd say some of them need to be committed

there are hardly any examples of hiring a successful replacement for someone with Miles' track record.

bullshite. Les Miles, Tom Osborne, Barry Switzer, Jimmy Johnson are just a few examples of guys who took over for great coaches.

There are a lot a failures too. But there are a lot of failures who take over for crappy coaches, too.

Most coaches have large egos. Most are former players. I would say very few would let fear of another coaches success keep them from the challenge. Not to mention, most want to be legendary. One of the ways to do that is to come into a SEC program and beat Saban. Of the programs to come into and take on that challenge, not many offer a better basis/situation than LSU.

Don't you have to post something and let it sit for a few minutes before the :crickets: meme is tossed out?

And then the "exactly" comment becomes an edit.

Hardly. In recent years Texas, USC, Ohio State, Miami, Auburn and other programs with great histories and reputations have been open. LSU is just another one of those, o

The one thing you don't know (or forgot) is that no program in this country has a better recruiting edge than LSU. The only legit D-1 program in a state rich with talent. It is an advantage none of the schools you mentioned has.

We all are bias...big time LSU is a great school and program however we have to see things from an outside point of view. We are firing a coach after a potential 10-3 season...let that sink in. Not saying it isn't justified but let that sink in. Do you really want to leave FSU, TCU or wherever to come here knowing that you can win 10 games in college footballs toughest conference and still get booted. Any coach willing to take that challenge is more than likely up and coming and not already established.
