Leicester, Palace, and West Ham are the best to watch this year.

Got FIFA 64 after being into the sport early on, and Jordi Cruyff (for some reason) was on the cover in United gear. So, I figured they were the best, and that was it for me. A year or so later was the Treble season, which I had no idea what it was, but I would basically just search for how they did, saw them keep winning, and I was hooked.

In essence, my entire United fandom is a result of being a stupid 8 year old who knew nothing but what one of the worst FIFA's made influenced. I'm glad, though, because I really got to experience some fun times as a fan of the sport with the Invincibles and watching Chelsea's circle of life experience rising to the top and now returning to the depths from whence they came.

Opening a can of whoopass on Chelsea last year and City this year were both pretty good times.

I'm a sadomasochist, so Liverpool was the obvious choice.

If I didn't have a team before I moved to England than most likely id be an Arsenal fan.

Finsbury park station is on the train from my town into London and is only 45mins.

Lots of Gooners in my town. A lot of Americans in the area pick Arsenal.

I've got a similar story. Soccer was the only sport I played before I got into middle school, and I loved playing with United on FIFA. My dad bought a United jersey for me on a trip overseas when I was like eight or nine, and we would try to watch them whenever they came on TV over here. (We went to D.C. together for a friendly against Inter last summer and had a blast.)

If I just had started following soccer in the last few years, I wouldn't have picked United... I would've gravitated toward a less-successful club for sure.

But I can point to my dad and wanting to dominate old FIFA games as a little kid as the reasons why I'm such a big fan to this day.

Shhh, don't mention the Chelsea arse beating last year to Randy, he'll tell you that they didn't care and were still on a New Years vacation mentally. I guess someone forgot to remind them to ever come back because they are utter shite this year. Laughably bad.

Is liking Man City bad? They're my favorite team to be on FIFA and I really like Aguero and Toure.

I rarely watch the BPL and don't want to sound like a huge bandwaggoner if anyone ever asks. I'm in NYC and a lot of my friends are Arsenal fans and I'm close to East 14th St that is taken over by Arsenal fans on match days.

Some on here who have watched BPL longer than I have may have a different opinion but of all the clubs with newly acquired wealth/unlimited funds, Man City is the one I can tolerate the most.
It has to be said though that you will catch shite and be accused of glory hunting if you do indeed land on Man City as a favorite.

My advice is to watch as much BPL as you can and you will see the different playing styles/traits of teams and you will naturally fall for a club. It's a lot more organic than just choosing a team because you like playing with them on FIFA. Don't take that the wrong way.

Really good friend of mine is from Birmingham England and his family owns a construction business outside Villa Park. Now I have to suffer through these tough times. It's like the Curly Hallman days.

Villa was due for a rough season. Their roster was marauded in the summer.

I don't have a team in the PL, this year. Didn't have one last year, either, but we 're starting to play rather consistently lately, have only lost twice in the last 7. Fulham may make a playoff push before it's all said and done.

I've been following since the late 1980s. Went to my first match in Italy, at Hellas Verona in 1984, then after Mexico 1986 I started reading. RIP Lakeside News in Metairie :( by 1990 I was the biggest USA fan there was, and I started looking in print sources for results and tables, and sort of kept a soft spot for the clubs that took chances on Americans.

Then we started getting compilation videos and even some 1st Division/Premier League on cable. Had, again, a soft spot for Saints (Southampton) because of their name and Matthew LeTissier, as well as Arsenal (loved Highbury and those early to mid-90s teams)

But then, in about 2002, Eddie Lewis signed for Fulham, they got promoted and then signed Brian McBride, quickly followed by Carlos Bocanegra, then Eddie Johnson, and Dempsey. That did it. I found a club, started reading some of the FFC sites : Craven Cottage Newsround, HammyEnd.com and found most of their supporters to be articulate and gracious, and that was that. COME ON YOU WHITES.

Right before Man city turned the corner, I was playing fifa and wanted to play with an average team. I always hate playing with big name teams in any game.

I switched teams from west ham to city bc I sucked at fifa and thought being a slightly better team would help. I never watched the PL before that.

Watch this documentary and you won't feel so bad maybe. It's pretty good.

I haven't chosen a team yet... still deciding. Sort of liking West Ham right now but don't know how I feel about claret and blue. Honestly I feel like I want to keep my favorite team in London (for obvious reasons), but I don't know. Guess I'll continue to watch.

Don't want to remain a Manchester United fan... for more obvious reasons. I've liked United since 2007 or so (Sophomore in college) but I hate the eye rolls I get when I tell people. Also, before NBC I never watched them much anyway. It's like a fresh slate since NBC got the contract.
