Who are these people? I've noticed this as well. Are they pathetic ULL fans?

I was in Monroe last year for the Bama/LSU game and I saw just as many Bama tshirts/hats as I did LSU.

It was sad.

People who don't like LSU for whatever reason. It's as simple as that.

It's ridiculous. I was talking to a guy at work who says he loves Bama. When I mentioned Coker struggling, he asked me who that was and why they weren't playing AJ McCarron. I wanted to punch him.

People that don't like LSU jumping on the bandwagon of the only team consistently better than LSU the last few years just to get attention.

They usually fall into two groups:

1. Contrarians who just like to piss off the overwhelming majority (in this case, LSU fans). If you were aware in the 90's, there were a lot of Florida fans in and around Louisiana. That leads to the second group......

2. The "fans" that just like to follow the best team. They're lifelong fans of X university....that is until they start losing. Today's Alabama fans were Miami fans 10+ years ago. Before that, they were Florida St. "die hards" recently converted from being Michigan fanatics.

Definitely pathetic ULL fans. If Ole Miss had Bama's success over LSU they'd be die-hard Rebs

I live in Nahville and they're an epidemic here. Way more Bana than Vol support here.

They're contrarians that just want to annoy people, you wont hear anything from them if LSU wins. They probably also rooted for the Cowboys in the 90s, but now are big Patriots fans.

My neighbor is transplanted from Alabama and a big Bama fan, but he's way less cocky and annoying than the local bandwagon jumpers that wear Alabama gear.

This

The easiest way I have found to take care of this is to ask them one of two questions.

1.) Who was the coach at Alabama before Saban.

2.) Name 5 or more current players on the team.

To this day, neither question has yet to fail me.

The Vols have been down and losing to them. Also, from what I understand, a lot of Bama grads move north to the Nashville area. Who can blame them. It's a lot nicer area with better money-making opportunities. I'm sure there are plenty of band wagoners, as well. We have plenty of those in North MS, too. I know a few die-hard Tide fans, but most are like the gentleman above who couldn't name the starting QB if his life depended on it.

Whoa now, this is strong. I've lived in Nashville the vast majority of my life and while there certainly are a lot of Bama fans, it isn't even remotely close to the amount of Vol fans.

That is nothing new.

When I was in high school in BR there were LSU fans and then a hodge-podge of Miami, Nebraska and FSU fans because those were the hot teams then. There's always going to be that contingent of people that don't want to assimilate with the majority. It's not a Bama-specific thing.
