I'm eating a banana watching the NY Marathon and also have a banana cream pie that my friend brought me from Lees Country Kitchen of which I'm sure many of you are familiar. I wish she would have brought me a ham sandwich as well however I am digressing.

We eat a lot of bananas plain, smoothies, pies, pudding, banana and peanut butter sandwiches etc...at least a bunch a week.

I have found the Guatemala and Costa Rican have the best flavor as opposed to Mexican and Honduran but the Ecuadorian are tasty and seem to be smaller. This might just be seasonal or different plantations so I have no particular reason.

I'm going to make bananas foster this afternoon since I have a few good ones and I'm in that mood. Also when they get too ripe I peel them and freeze because they make good smoothies. Better than throwing them away.

Any banana fans or good recipes here? I'm a fan of Blue Bell banana pudding ice cream but not sure when I'll see that again.

I need to fry the sandwich to try it that way. I've never eaten banana and mayo sandwich but I've seen that a good but. I'll try that too. Nut bread my wife makes and hot with butter is pretty good.

Not a big daquiri fan but a banana one by the pool on a hot day isn't bad and I'm secure enough in my masculinity to have one.

And I must have a down vote stalker. Quit it Pawl.

My mom would fry bananas often for breakfast. Loved it as a kid -- simple saute in butter (high heat), then sprinkled with cinnamon. Ate banana sandwiches often -- fresh banana on buttered bread lightly sprinkled with cinnamon.

Bananas Foster is great but it's not something I can eat often because it's such an indulgence.

I used to put bananas in smoothies

Bananas pair surprisingly well with coffee. Don't know why. But try just having a banana with a cup of coffee for breakfast. It's pretty good.

I used to cut up a banana and put it in my cereal if I was eating something really plain like plain cheerios or wheaties. I don't eat a lot of cereal now though.

I love peanut butter, bacon, and banana sandwiches

I want to make something with fried bananas--just not sure what. Maybe just serve with vanilla ice cream and top with chocolate syrup

My wife is making it right now while I'm on the couch watching Food Paradise on Travel Channel. I only get it a few times a year but was just on a banana kick today.

I always have Starbucks gift cards and drink a lot of coffee this time of year so I have been hitting the drive through and I always get a banana with my Pikes Place. (I don't do all the frough frough drinks)Love it.

I do not like a banana in my cereal though. Not sure why just never have. It's the milk I guess.

Old man that sits next to me at Manresa eats three boxes of Raisin Bran and three bananas every morning. I bet he shite's like a pet coon after breakfast.

Bananas are the most versatile fruit. Eat them plain, make bread, pie, cookies, smoothies/protein shakes, sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, chips. You can freeze & blend them into an ice cream texture as a dietary treat. They are just about good in everything.

Bananas are a thing I eat sparingly. They are low on my pyramid of common fruits. They can make me gag in a similar manner yogurt does-just the texture I guess. I love frozen bananas in a smoothie though. They really help the smoothie's texture.

Bananas, the only sure bet in the fruit world.

I had a delicious aged banana pudding with peanut butter mousse and whipped cream at Sac a Lait last night. Incredible.

I just finished the rest of Lee's banana cream pie.

And I don't have anywhere to go tomorrow morning so I'll just sleep this lazy banana filled rainy day off. Fun eating all this while watching Eli and Drew have a passing clinic.

Glad I've got my stretchable Sansabelts on to rest in.

You ever see the Drunk History episode on Sam the Banana man? Great story with a New Orleans backdrop and gives the origin of banana republic.

I love a good banana and mayo sandwich. I know some people are partial to either peanut butter and banana or even peanut butter/mayo and banana. To me, the plain mayo and banana is the best.

I'd be shitting like a Gwalon (seagull) chasing a shrimp boat if I ate that.

O.P.
I like banana every now and again, my kids eat one every day. They love bananas.
