Watching game. Sober this time.

Jefferson isn't great in coverage and he blows tackles. Hope the coaches make some adjustments now that Mills is back.

It was battle.

And that missed tackle was bad, but it wouldn't have happened on a dry field.

At first I thought you were too cool to know his name. Then I realized you are not.

Maybe so but he's been the weakest link on the D the past few weeks.

Yes, it is a hole in LSUs secondary that needs addressing

Dwayne Thomas hasn't been exceptionally good in that time frame.

The good thing is all these guys have played very well in the past. Hopefully it's something easy to fix.

On one running play he stood at least 10 yards from rb waiting on him to come to him , then stuck 1 arm out to tackle him . Looks like he is afraid to tackle

No doubt Jefferson whiffed on that tackle you reference...Jefferson has been very good in run support and in the underneath areas; typical Strong Safety activites...Its when either Steele/Corey or offenses put him in extended coverage situations that has exposed him a bit...Frankly, as I mentioned in a thread last week, Jamal has similar challenges; he's just a better tackler...Next year we will need another Free Safety to replace Mills

Jefferson just had a bad game. He will learn from it and get better. He's a tough kid just like his older brother. I think he will be just fine. The Rant definitely will call you out when you either miss a tackle, make a bad pass, drop a pass, or miss an assignment. Looking forward to a "good" thread on #29 soon - hopefully after 'Bama game. Everyone is going to have to step it up a notch for this one. Geaux Tigers!

Agree that once Mills gets back in the swing of things, he should be the safety. Jefferson has been MIA the last few games.

Also, don't necessarily intend to take this thread in another direction, but who draws the assignment of defending Ridley if White can't go in the Bama game??

Adams has looked to be in poor form lately. Yes, he stripped the ball and got a pick, but was also victimized on numerous crossing routes. Additionally, he seems to be looking for the big Sports Center hit instead of focusing on the tackle. He has the potential to be a boss in the secondary. Stuff like that has to be cleaned up though.
