The fact that Old Absinthe house is on there...not to mention the fricking Columns

The bar in the bowling alley (Fulton Lanes) had some good cocktails. First time I saw a bartender use a stick to draw out a bit of the drink and sample it, then add more bitters to it.

Where is Oxalis, Bouligny, Oak?
Anything on that list that is even quasi-tiki can get out of town.

I hate these stupid lists because 99% of the time they're off the mark

That would entail the writer having visited New Orleans in the last decade. Yes I know Latitude 29 is new too but it's been covered substantially by several publications which the 'author' of this piece no doubt ripped off.

Are these hand-crafted cocktails prepared by a mixologist?

I've hung outside of there several nights, never had any problems.

Wouldn't the majority of places that are popular and/or trendy be good? At least for a visitor to check out.

Of course. I'm not suggesting any of these places are particularly bad. Just that there is nothing particularly novel, or even really informative, about these types of listings that one couldn't glean from a simple glace at Yelp or something like that..
