Quirky and stubborn, but doing his best to win. He gets a bad rap, like George W being ridiculed by the media.

GLAD we have him at LSU.

This season will tell a lot about whether the overall sentiment is bullish or bearish.

I'll reserve judgment until this season is over.

What I like about him:
-His heart is 100% in it. No hidden agendas, no risk for flight.
-Love the physical brand of football he brings.
-He sees himself as part of the team and is a player's coach.
-Stands up for what is right, even if it's an unfavorable result.
-High character and instills these qualities in the team.
-High level of stability, doesnt attract a lot of drama to himself or the team.
-Hard worker, dedicated to improvement and winning.

There's more but that's all I got at the moment.

Second best coach in LSU history. I love the guy, but only an idiot thinks he's better than Saban was. Records be damned. Saban took the program from mediocrity to greatness. Miles maintained it at excellent.

I believe these two years will be Miles' golden era. We will be in the title hunt in 2015 and 2016. I also think it will be his swan song. The program will probably start slipping in a couple of years. If so, Alleva should move fast to get a quality replacement.

Les is who he is.

On the plus side, his teams play with great toughness and generally do just enough of what is needed to win the game, which at the end of the day is all that matters. His offensive lines are consistently great run blockers and he recruits at a very high level. Generally makes very good staff choices.

On the negative side, his teams routinely play without discipline, as we average over 10 penalties a game every single year. Other mental mistakes are frequent. Neglects the passing game to the point where QBs and receivers can't get into a rhythm. Often plays down to opponents.

Which can change in a heartbeat when we drop a 3 games. Just like everyone is saying "we don't need to pass" while we are winning, but will be singing the opposite tune after a few losses.

Arrogant at times, but he gets the job done most of the time and seems like a great individual.

I'm mostly with you. Last year ended more bearish than bullish. This year, probably 75% bullish.

The positive sentiment hit it's peak after Auburn. If Miles (LSU) were a stock, it's price continued rising since Auburn (in terms of ranking, due to the strong running game (LF7) and other teams losing), but some perceived weaknesses are making s lot of fans and pundits think the stock is overvalued and there's some growing pressure to short LSU/Miles now.

I'd also say the sentiment for Miles is pretty volatile. There's strong feelings for and against, and every soundbyte or statistic becomes a rallying point for the two opposing schools of thought.

He is the best coach LSU has ever had. It seems that we as a group are NEVER going to be happy with the man that we have as coach. Charlie Mac had haters. Saban had haters. And CLM has way more haters than he should have.
I always wonder who people are thinking is a sure thing better choice than CLM.

I feel that the desire to win is really there. He has the chance to play for victory against quality opponents every week and that is what he is going to go out there and do. We have a really quality coach in his desire is there and every down is the desire to produce a quality play.
