Anyone else with kids in public schools tired of cutting checks for "fees?"

I know, OT Ballers send their kids to private school in New Hampshire.
My son needs a $10 check for computer lab to pay for toner tomorrow and another $10 check for some made up bullshite in another lab.
I sent like 3 or 4 of these checks last week when school started for ambiguous horsehit.
It's not the money, it is the principle.
Why do I pay property taxes?

Some districts do t have labs or printers. Get over it.

If St. George had it's own school district this wouldn't be an issue.

Private schools have fees too.
$10 is a really cheap fee.

So what happens to your kid at a public school if you don't pay the fee's?

I would say 80 percent of the checks I write are made out to the kids school.
I joked with the wife that I should just get the check printers to go ahead and preprint the school name on the payee line.

After paying $8600 in tuition, fees, etc, etc, we still had to go buy school supplies and send in two boxes of Kleenex.
Stop complaining

Nothing in life is "free" Just pay the fees and move on

No problem with fees, but I'm pissed that teachers are handing out points for paper towels and other supplies. A grade used to mean something.
Those of us in the upper echelon don't want you stupid fricks thinking you belong just because you brought paper towels.

Your $300 of property taxes that go to your local school is not covering your share of your kid's education. I think all public schools should be privatized. Pay your share and stop making me help pay for your kid's education.

Won't your kids also be sent around later to grub for money in the form of a 'fund raiser?'
