haha im doing the same thing. bastards told me i couldnt have the week off. went to the beach with friends for the 4th. they had the room all week. i came back for work today and it was hell so tomorrow im saying frick it and heading back to the beach.

How about just take PTO since you know this is exctly what it's there for? 
I took a day off a few weeks ago so I could catch up on some shite I needed to do during work hours, which I did after I slept in and relaxed.
