Damanding on the first date? And you still bother with it?
Ask her where she's taking you.

Bumble lane couples massage. Maybe they can get her rectum to relax long enough for the stick to fall out...

This is a good idea.
Also, you could do Live After 5 or something.

This wasn't a demand. It came up in casual conversation before I asked her out. On second thought, you are probably right. That could be a demand in female speak.
Btw. First date, but we met once through mutual friends before and hit it off. This is just the first planned date.

Take her to your gym or to a gym. This will give you a tell of the tape. Is she a fatty? Are you a fatty? Then go get some yogurt and rent a movie. You'll be fricking by dark.

Hotel. Room service. Bedtime.

Damn....can't a girl be happy that she has someone interested in courting her?
I understand wanting to break from the normal dating routine but why set restrictions?
She obviously has something particular in mind...just say it. Quit playing games, no wonder she's single.

Bar/restaurants and movies are terrible first dates when you don't know much about each other. I've always enjoyed a date that involved an activity, especially if you can make it competitive in a playful way. The activity helps keep you entertained without forcing awkward conversation and will give you more to talk about. I think it's a lot easier to determine compatibility in those situations as well.
Putt-putt. go carts, batting cages, bowling, painting/drinking places, etc. Even if she sucks you'll both enjoy the day more and won't feel like you completely wasted your time. She's 31 and is over the whole standard bar/restaurant thing.

movies?
Going solely to a movie is bullshite for a first date. If there was some chick that I didn't want to go on a date with but wanted to either be nice or forced to go, then I'd go with the movies so I don't have to interact with her. Dinner then a movie is one thing, but just a movie is bullshite.

Just be sure to have your shite together. If the date goes south, in a bad way, you can end it after the first activity. If it's going great, you better have the next activity planned and ready to go.

The wine and painting is good idea, also see if there is somplace that does couples cooking classes.

I should edit. It wasn't just restaurant or bar, but dates involving eating or drinking. Stuff that doesn't involve just sitting there.
