Indeed. Texas interstates should be littered with suicide prevention billboards.

Is it strange that I like these wide open roads with nothing around? Great time to speed!

South AR is a nice drive.

Drive from Denver to Columbia, MO via I-70 and you'll see a boring drive.

I-16 between Macon and Savannah Ga. Long, flat and nothing but cops to see.

I would say I-65 between Montgomery and Mobile is about the same.

Drove that a couple weeks ago. That's a pretty boring stretch of road.

You want fun open roads to cruise? Go to east Montana. Long, straight, relatively flat roads and no speed limit on the interstate.

I-55 from Jackson through Grenada. What a shithole drive through a shithole state. I make my wife drive that portion both ways when we are traversing from South Bend to Baton Rouge and back.

ETA: except for some parts of New Mexico & Arizona. The Grand Canyon was also amazing.

Baskin is the highlight of that trip. Ferriday is a close second.
