Actually, Pensacola breaks that up. However, from Pensacola to J'ville, winner.

Across I90, Rapid City, SD to Sioux Falls, SD. Literally nothing but cattle farm land, and you cross a time zone which makes the drive seem that much longer.

There is absolutely nothing between these two places but pine trees and gumps. Seems like it takes 18 hours.

New Mexico on I-40 is the worst I've been on. I was driving East Coast to West Coast and NM made me long for driving through the plains states where at least there were crops and a farm house every few miles. Only place I'd ever driven where there were 100+ miles of no radio stations (this was in 1998), the autoseek on my car stereo just kept cycling.

Clearly, you've never driven from San Antonio to El Paso. That drive is miserable. I swear you can go hours without even seeing a tree.

they lose their luster after the 15th or so and you don't even see them anymore.

Many boring routes. Some worse than others. Some the result of driving the same route often.

On my current BORING list is the route along I-75, Bradenton, FL to Atlanta, GA. Hi-lites are measured in where the rest stops, cheap gas, Starbucks and Chick fil a exits are.

Old boring list once included New Orleans to I-65 Birmingham. Not driving that one anymore. Anytime you get excited to get to Laurel or Hattiesburg or Meridian, you know there is a problem.

Another horror drive was Louisville KY to St. Louis. or Louisville, KY to Quad-Cities, IA/IL. Painfully boring.

Kansas City to Denver. It makes west Texas seem interesting.

In the southeast - Mobile to Montgomery.

This. In the summer at least there is corn and cows. In the winter, just muddy, snow blown bleakness. Definitely a drive to do at night.

My son and I once did a road trip from Atlanta to Yellowstone, WY. We went across Kansas and it wasn't as scary as I expected. Actually saw a stealth jet (fighter or bomber?) fly over the highway in one particularly desolate area - not sure if I was in NE or KS at the time. Made it worthwhile.
