I catch myself always saying "look at this Mickey Mouse shite right here". WTF did poor mickey do to ever be associated with unorganized, half-assed work? I'd think Goofy would be more fitting?
Anyway, maybe this thread can shed some light on certain sayings that people misuse (like 1/4 of the OT that says "at nauseum")

I hate it when people refer to a sports team as a club, especially when it refers to something like Football, which is pretty much never called a club. Random I know, but frick that.

It's a quote from Full Metal Jacket..you're probably too young to realize that

Drunk as a skunk
I've personally never seen a drunk skunk
Don't get carried away
Where the Hell did that saying come from

for all intensive purposes (for all intents and purposes)
should of (should have)
dominate (dominant)
revenge is a dish best served cold (revenge is best long after the instigating event when the target no longer expects it)

People overusing the term “Epic”.
Dominoes accidentally giving you an extra ranch dipping sauce is in no way “Epic”. Stfu.

Exponentially, as in "His batting average would be exponentially higher if he could learn to hit a curve."
The proof is in the pudding. Wrong. The proof of the pudding is in the tasting.

I used to think it was "nobody does it like Sara Lee".
My mind was blown when I found out it was "nobody doesn't like Sara Lee"
I still think my way is better.

When people say, "That is all." at the end of a written message.
Like I would just get to the end and be wondering, "Are they finished?".
