No one loves the process of mental sparring more than ENTPs, as it gives them a chance to exercise their effortlessly quick wit, broad accumulated knowledge base, and capacity for connecting disparate ideas to prove their points.
quote:
ENTPs have a longer road than most in harnessing their natural abilities - their intellectual independence and free-form vision are tremendously valuable when they're in charge, or at least have the ear of someone who is, but getting there can take a level of follow-through that ENTPs struggle with.

I've taken this type of test a few times. I either get INTJ or INTP. I think INTP makes more sense from what I can tell in the descriptions that I've read.

I'm an ENFP. Did the test a while back.

ISTJ
Accurately describes why I'm a scientist
quote:
ISTJs don't make many assumptions, preferring instead to analyze their surroundings, check their facts and arrive at practical courses of action. ISTJ personalities are no-nonsense, and when they've made a decision, they will relay the facts necessary to achieve their goal, expecting others to grasp the situation immediately and take action. ISTJs have little tolerance for indecisiveness, but lose patience even more quickly if their chosen course is challenged with impractical theories, especially if they ignore key details - if challenges becomes time-consuming debates, ISTJs can become noticeably angry as deadlines tick nearer.

INTJ
Description doesn't seem too far off.

I normally get ISFJ, but with this test I got ISTJ. Turbulent variance, sentinel role.

quote:
ISTPs love to explore with their hands and their eyes, touching and examining the world around them with cool rationalism and spirited curiosity. People with this personality type are natural Makers, moving from project to project, building the useful and the superfluous for the fun of it, and learning from their environment as they go. Often mechanics and engineers, ISTPs find no greater joy than in getting their hands dirty pulling things apart and putting them back together, just a little bit better than they were before.
Yeah, pretty close.

Off the charts INTJ. I could be happy living by myself on a deserted island.

quote:
ESTPs are the likeliest personality type to make a lifestyle of risky behavior. They live in the moment and dive into the action. They are forced to make critical decisions based on factual, immediate reality in a process of rapid-fire rational stimulus response.
quote:
This makes school and other highly organized environments a challenge for ESTPs. It certainly isn't because they aren't smart, and they can do well, but the regimented, lecturing approach of formal education is just so far from the hands-on learning that ESTPs enjoy.
quote:
With perhaps the most perceptive, unfiltered view of any type, ESTPs have a unique skill in noticing small changes. Whether a shift in facial expression, a new clothing style, or a broken habit, people with this personality type pick up on hidden thoughts and motives where most types would be lucky to pick up anything specific at all.
quote:Yeah, this is me. And every single one of these things I've ever taken, even legit ones that take up to an hour, tell me that only about 2-4% of the population fits my category. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing
Making up only four percent of the population, there are just enough ESTPs out there to keep things spicy and competitive, and not so many as to cause a systemic risk.
