Is Tre White considered elite?

I've always considered him pretty close to Hargreaves in terms of skill and talent, but never hear anyone talk about him as one of the best corners in the nation. What do y'all think?

He's better than Hargreaves. No one talks about him because he shuts down that side of the field.

Don't know what he's "considered" but he is elite.

I don't necessarily consider him elite, but he has been the best corner on the roster since becoming a starter his freshman season.

No one really throws the ball towards him which is why and thats a good thing. Dudes a beast the only thing slightly holding him back is his size which might not translate so well at the next level.

his technique makes up for his smaller size and when scouts turn on the tape they will fall in love with him.

His cover skills are elite!

IMO, yes.
He's a very complete CB and really doesn't have a weakness. He's always in great position on his man and rarely makes a mental mistake or gets beat. Hes a very good open field tackler and is a smart player with a high football IQ. He's very smooth in and out of his breaks and is very instinctive when it comes to reading the WR or QB. He's rock solid all around.
He's not a flashy player, which is why he's not a household name, but he's an "eraser" type of CB. The QB rarely looks his way or throws in his area because he usually is in a great position to play the ball or cause an incompletion. Ole Miss went after him some and he shut down Moncrief. When Cooper was on his side, Alabama went away from him.
He's been our best CB since he was a true freshman. That's impressive.

IMO
1. Vernon Hargreaves/Kendall Fuller
3. Tre'Davious White
4. Cam Sutton
5. Jalen Ramsey/Eli Apple
7. Mackensie Alexander
8. Ishmael Adams
So as a top 3 corner, I'd say yes, he is elite.

Do yal see him leaving after this season?

I think he's a great player, but not elite.

TW was a 5star Rival's CB so I wouldn't say that he wasn't highly respected coming in but maybe he kinda got lost in the pack at DBU? I do remember a couple of recruits dads acting ticked off when they gave him his 5th star even though he was always a QB while their boys were all american cbs their whole careers. That just told me that White was a far superior athlete and yet he still managed to hit the ground running at DBU.
So yeah... he is elite no matter what writers say.
For that matter, so am I.
